Chapter 4

"Knock knock"

A knock was heard across the room.

Quickly and Quietly. Sakura made a beeline towards the source were the knocking was evident.

"Whose there? " Sakura quickly asked as she peackes through the peeking hole on her door.

"It's me dattebayo! . " The voice answered back.

Sakura took note of the voice and opened the door.

"Naruto!"Sakura exclaimed and hugged Naruto

Naruto hugged Sakura back and looked towards the guests they have.

" Konan-nee chan! "Naruto exclaimed and ran towards konan.

~later (Uchiha compound)

" Sasuke.. "Fugaku or, the father of Sasuke spoke as he finished drinking his water.

Sasuke suddenly stiffined and looked at his father.

" Yes... Tou-san? "Sasuke said while looking at Mikoto for help.

Mikoto sighed and looked at Fugaku.

" I'm... Proud of you Sasuke "Fugaku said with a small smile on his face.

Silence...

... .

" I-.... Arigato tou-san. "Sasuke managed to snap out of his surprised daze and looked happily against fugaku's stare.

....

" I am proud of you Sasuke but, You need to work harder. "Fugaku snapped at Sasuke with a cold glare.

....

"Hai..... " Sasuke answered sadly.

Mikoto looked at the 2 males near her and sighed.

She could feel the tension.

"I'm home.. (Tadaima) " A tired and sleepy voice entered the main compound.

"Okaeri Itachi! " Mikoto replied happily and went out to set Itachi his plate.
....

"Tou-san" Itachi bowed respectfully.

"Itachi, I assume that the mission was a success. " Fugaku looked at Itachi up and down as he said this.

"Hai... " Itachi said...well, more liked whispered. But, it was enough to make fugaku heat his answer.

"Itachi, I need to talk to you. " Fugaku said coldly.

"Hai.. " Itachi tired as he is decided that defying his father is not a smart move.

.....

"Kaa-san? " Sasuke looked at Mikoto as they both eavesdrop Itachi and Fugaku's conversation.

.....

No response from mikoto.

.....

"Itachi... " Fugaku started
"Yes? " Itachi answered
"I want you to be my successor. " Fugaku said bluntly.

.....

Silence....
....

*thump*

Mikoto has pushed the door without Sasuke knowing so, he fell down.

Poor Sasuke 😭

"You can't do that Fugaku! " Mikoto shouted.

"Kaa-san... " Both Itachi and Sasuke looked shooked.

"Mikoto, let me-" Fugaku tried reasoning his decision to mikoto.

But, Mikoto was not having it.

"No! You listen here FUGAKU UCHIHA" Mikoto argued back. But, this time emphasizing Fugaku's name.

"I-" Once again Fugaku tried explaining his actions.

"As I said. I'm not having it ! Itachi is only 15 years old! " Mikoto looked at Itachi concerned.

"Kaa-san.. I'm fine about it... " Itachi tried reasoning out his mom.

"You know what, Sasuke and Itachi go to bed! " Mikoto annoyed as she is. Decided that the Children doesnt need to hear he 'Little' conversation Fugaku and her will have.
