Murder Mansion

THE END

Avery noticed that Hailey was missing and she alerted Derek. They informed the others about her disappearance. That's when Fiona revealed that Hailey had talked to her about her fear of large enclosed spaces. She was worried that she might have fainted on the way or lost her way. They all had reached the kitchen till they realized that Hailey was missing. Richard asked all the members to stay put in the kitchen so that they would not get lost because he was the only one who knew each and every place in that mansion. Before he could leave, they heard a loud but distant sound. They all shot looks towards each other. It was obvious that the sound was from a gun. Richard knew that there were guns only in the antique room. John agreed while claiming that he had seen some himself. Suddenly, it dawned on Fiona that Hailey herself could have been the killer all along and she conveyed this thought to the others as well. Avery was upset about Derek getting hurt and started arguing with Fiona, sternly implying that she was the one who tried to attack another person. Again, the group's bickering had commenced. 

Once more, Bill played the peacemaker and they decided to approach Hailey quietly in case she was the murderer. Richard led the way; they were shocked to see Hailey outside the antique room, gun tightly gripped in her palm, aimed directly at them. She fired straight ahead but the bullet missed Richard by a few inches. He was terrified, they all were when they took cover behind each other. Bill was still confused and unsure about her motive. 

To defend themselves everybody ran to the main hall, some went behind the couch some behind the table. Bill furiously asked her why was she doing such a horrible thing. She answered him, "You all should ask Richard because he started the game in a way that I had to end it. He got my parents killed." They all were shocked and glared at Richard and asked him if Hailey was telling the truth. He answered everybody (in stuttered tone), "I didn't murder anybody." Hailey scornfully pointed the gun at him again and replied, "You don't remember? Then let me remind you. Weren't you the one who wanted me to be with you? Weren't you the one who threatened me for it? Weren't you the one who said that you'll kill my parents if I don't agree to do it? Yes, it was you." Richard remained silent for some moments when suddenly Bill who was beside him demanded him for an explanation. Richard did not deny Hailey's accusations and told Bill that it was true that he killed her parents for his own greed. 

In the meantime, Derek decided to make some peace with Hailey so he stood up a little and told Hailey, "Don't do this because you are not like Richard right? What will be the difference between you and him if you killed him--" Richard suddenly cut him off and asked Hailey (in angered tone), " So you are the one who killed my father! If you had to take revenge you would have taken on me why to kill my father. He was such a good person and he wasn't even involved in any of this." Hailey said to him (voice breaking tone)" neither were my parents, they were good people to but you killed them too." and she again tried to shot at him but he went down.  She cooled herself down and thought about what Derek had said. She turned to him and softly admitted, "You're absolutely right. If I kill him, I would be no better than him." Then, her tone changed and she cleverly continued, "I should just kill you all. Richard must die and I can't leave any witnesses lying around. I'm going to shoot all 6 of you and escape with my brother to avoid prison. I know where the floorplans are and I won't have much trouble." Avery saw this speech as an opportunity and quickly asked, "Your brother is involved in this?" Hailey nodded, not realizing that she had given away her accomplice. 

John heard some voices from behind the pillar and saw a boy standing and peeing on them from behind. The thought occurred to John that he could be Hailey's brother. He suddenly gave a sign to Derek pointing towards Hailey's brother. Derek took the opportunity and ran towards him and pointed the blade ( from which he got hurt when Fiona stuck on him) towards his neck telling Hailey that if she would not keep her gun down and surrender she will lose her brother too. Hailey had understood that the game was up. After her parents, her brother was all she had. Not wanting to risk any more than she already had, she surrendered. Bill took custody of the gun and was handed the boy from Derek. Avery grabbed the killer and John had Richard. John made Richard give up the way to the exit. It was finally over. No more murder, no more getting lost in a large mansion. Cops were called, questions were asked but most importantly, Hailey for arrested for the murder of Edward Malcolm and the attempted murder of Richard Malcolm. the police made sure that Richard too would serve for his crime. Bidding farewell, the remaining five went their separate paths.
