Chapter 11, Disaster in kitchen

Noah was pretty pissed off over a sticky note. Well, nothing can be done about him now. I have only who options, 1) ignore him, which will probably make things worse, or 2) find a way to turn his mood better.

Option two had sounded better than option one.

Noah who was currently rewatching 'how to get away with murder' and glaring at the t.v. so hard I almost feared that the t.v. will break. Even though he looked pissed off, it was hard not to notice him. He was just wearing normal washed jeans and a t-shirt and still looked perfect in it. His dyed platinum blond hair fell in front of his bright blue eyes. He was a six feet tall giant making me look like a lilliput next to him. There is still a part of me that hates him in our awkward love and hate friendship. I can't lie, he is devilishly hot.

He was the type of guy who mostly does one-night-stand-with-no-strings-attached, not interested in dating. A guy with devilish handsome looks and knows how to cook (except pancakes, he can't make pancakes) is someone to die for. Not that I am planning to die for him, I have way too much anger, hatred, and ego to do something like that. So it's safe to say I am compromising as we live in the same apartment with a love-hate friendship.

"I am sorry for the sticky note thing, is there any way to change your mood?" I asked as I left the bags at the doorstep as I removed my heels and walked towards the living room.

"Wow, little dipshit is being nice," he said.

"Now frost giant, you should forgive someone when they are sorry. It's manners" I said as I sat down on the couch beside him. He muttered something under his breath which was hard to catch.

"Ok, you can ask for anything from me in exchange for you not being grumpy anymore. I am pretty sure I won't get any dinner today if you stay grumpy." I said,

"You have the deal, and you said I can ask for anything right?" Noah finally stopped glaring at the t.v. and looked at me with a playful smirk dancing on his lips.

"Yes," I said as I looked the other way feeling slightly uneasy under his intense stare.

"Ok then! You will help me cook dinner tonight!" he announced his voice filled with excitement. I was a bit taken aback by his answer, I expected him to say the weirdest things I could ever imagine, but it was better than that.

"Very well, what are we having today?" I smiled as I got up from the couch and walked towards my room.

"Oven-baked pizza," he said.

I closed my bedroom door and changed into a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and took the makeup off my face. I walked out of my room and found Noah already in the kitchen.

I walked inside and grabbed one of the aprons and stood beside him as I saw him reading something.

"So did you ever do this before?" I asked as he turned his phone off and turned towards me.

"Nope!" he said.

"So there is no guarantee that I will get my dinner," I asked as he just gave me a closed-eyed smile. I shook my head as he started to gather the ingredients. I leaned on the kitchen counter as he took the flour and stuff out of the shelves.

"So, tell me about your childhood?" he said his eyes fixed on the measuring cups on his hand as I looked up at him.

"My childhood?" I asked as he simply nodded.

"Let's see, it was boring I guess," I said as he just looked at me.

"What sort of childhood did you have that it was boring!?" he said as he threw his hands in the air.

"I don't know! It was always me and J, mom and dad were always busy with their business and office so I guess it was boring," I said. "Tell me about your childhood"

"I don't remember much," he said as he used the measuring cut to measure the flour for the dough. "But one, probably when I was six I broke my leg."

"Ouch, out of all the things you could remember from your childhood you remember that," I said as we both started working. Working together ended up more like a disaster. Flour all around the kitchen, sauce, and cheese all over the kitchen counter. Tomatoes, green pepper, onions, and mushrooms on the kitchen floor. Sausages still burning on the pan I still don't know why. There was flour all over the apron, flour on my hair, sauce on Noah's apron, and flour on his face.

We looked around the kitchen for a good second or two.

"This is a disaster," I said.

"I will order pizza instead," he said.

"Good idea," I nodded.

The next morning after making breakfast, I left for my morning classes. I missed my college for a weird reason, I guess my hatred for online classes is so much I couldn't stand another minute inside. The classes went fast and then was a break. I walked around the campus looking for Kyler or Mel. Both of them always show up out of nowhere so I won't be surprised to see them now.

I walked around a bit being light-headed with my mind wondering about finding a date for the party. Now you might be thinking that 'You live with a freaking guy and you admitted that he is hot so why not take him?'

I thought about that at the beginning but no. It's like losing in an invisible fight with Noah. And I don't wanna lose.

And with my train of thoughts, I didn't notice the person who was walking in front of me as I bumped into him.

"Sorry!" I said quickly as I noticed the poster of the neighborhood party in his hand. It took a matter of seconds for the two to start bonding. His name was Theo Owens. His girlfriend broke up with him a few days ago and will be going to the party on a different date and to make it up to her and tell her sorry the poor guy needs a date.

"Won't she get the wrong idea if I go with you like a date?" I asked as he just smiled. Theo has dark brown hair and light brown eyes.

"Of course not, after we get in we go separate ways! I will find my girlfriend and you can be with your best friend and her date!" he said almost excitedly.

"You are such a crappy guy!" I said smiling trying to cover up the rising anger at his shitty idea.

"You are so mean," he muttered as he followed me around.

"Ok then, you have two options: the crappy guy or shitty guy. You choose," I said.

"Fine fine, you are helping me out so it will be the crappy guy," he said.

"You are so scary," he muttered under his breath as I just smirked at that.

"I will meet you on Saturday night, then make sure to wear black crappy guy!" I said as Theo just sighed and I rushed back inside to join my next class.

Looks like I made a friend!
