3rd POV

At the pool, Hayley was sitting at a table, writing in her journal. Kendall was watching her from behind the bushes.

When Katie snuck up behind him and smacked him behind his head which startled him.

"Why are you spying on Hayley?" Katie asked him.

"I'm not spying. I'm secretly observing her from afar." Kendall told her.

"That's spying." Katie pointed out.

"Katie." Kendall scolded.

"Does she have a boyfriend?" She asked.

"No. I don't know. And if she does, it would be wrong of me to ask my friend out who might be taken. Right?" Kendall answered.

"Oh, please." Katie said while rolling her eyes.
"Hey Hayley!" She called out and pushed Kendall forward.

Hayley turned around and smiled at Kendall.
"Hey Kendall. Do you and the boys need my help?" Hayley asked.

"Nope. I have the day off and I thought maybe we could... hang out." Kendall told her.

"We hung out before you and the guys left which was not that long ago." She reminded him.

"Which was awesome." Kendall said. He continued, "And it would also be awesome if just you and I hung out. I'd be cool."

Hayley chuckled before replying, "Sure. I was just about to hit the gym and I could use a training partner. Want to come?"

"Yes!" He said and pumped his fist. He stopped and seriously asked, "I mean what are we doing? Weights? Cardio?"

"Something like that." Hayley told him with a smirk.

Kendall fell back on the mat. "Judo with a bit of kickboxing. Cool." He grunted.

Hayley giggled, "yeah, my dad and grandfather made me take kickboxing lessons when I seven. Jo has been teaching me judo since she got here." She told him. She offered her hand to him which he grabbed and stood up.

"You're good but do you sing as good as you fight?" Kendall tauntingly asked.

She gave him a smile before twisting his arm behind his back which made him yelp.
"Do you sing as good as you fall?" She asked.
