Stephan grabbed a napkin and touched his pockets looking for something to write with. Feeling a lump in his right pocket, he took out a small pen that he always carried with him, he wrote down some numbers and gave it to Selene.

"Well then here's my number" – He said as he spread the piece of paper between his fingers waiting for her to pick it up - "Call me when make a decision." He winked his eye in an attempt to flirt with Selene, to which she only replied by rolling her eyes.

Selene took the napkin and kept it in the pocket of her hoodie. As she got up from her seat exhaling air through her mouth, she checked her cell phone looking for the time, it was 5:30 in the afternoon. When she realized what time it was she got anxious. Selene swallowed hard trying to avoid the panic attack she felt she was about to have.

"I think It's time for me to go home" - Selene stated without looking up from her cell phone.

"Do you have something to do? "- ask Stephan after he noticed the change of expression Selene had.

"No, but it's getting late"- She took a brief pause. - "and I'm not exactly enjoying myself right now"

Unconvinced by her answer Stephan pulled a twenty-dollar bill out of his wallet and placed it on the table, got up and put on the brown leather coat he was wearing. He reached his hand out to Selene again, hoping that this time she would take it.

"Okay, let's go then."

Stephan never stopped smiling, an innocent expression was always present on his face. No matter how uncomfortable the conversation became, he always had a warm smile that for some reason gave Selene some peace and made her feel safe in a way she didn't understand and had never felt, at least not in a long time.

Selene saw Stephan's hand for a few seconds and couldn't help but be distracted by how big and masculine it looked, she found it hard to ignore the veins in his arm. After reacting, she took his hand. Stephan, satisfied that his move technically went how he wanted to, took the initiative and walked to the door of the coffee shop, Selene walking behind him. Upon reaching the door Stephan kept it open for her and repeated the words he said when they first arrived.

"After you, malady"

"Quit it with the cheesy pet names."- Selene answered annoyed as she walked out the coffee shop.

She couldn't help to get a little annoyed by the trust he thought they had. But at the same time something about the tone in his voice every time he spoke distracted and perplexed her. When they both were outside the shop, Selene proceeded to release Stephan's hand so that she could properly say goodbye and head home.

"Well, thanks for the horrible coffee, I guess? "- Selene said, making a disgusted gesture only remembering the taste of the coffee and raising her shoulders slightly. – "Honestly, how can someone mess up coffee so bad? It's coffee!"

Stephan laughed with his eyes on the ground.

¨I'm sorry that the food here wasn't up to your expectations, mal-..."- Stephan stopped mid-sentence to correct himself. - "Selene." -he said as he stared at her eyes.

"And was it up to yours?"

"No" - he laughed a little. - "But you don't have to thank me, it's more, thank you for being my company."

Selene faked a small smile to be polite, tough she wasn't going to say thank you she decided it would be best to ignore his comment.

"Well, I'm going to go now" – she said a bit uncomfortable taking the first steps to leave.
