I looked at her like she was crazy. I mean that's an obvious lie, I'm a human, and almost everyone I knew up until now are humans. I may not of seen a human for a while now but that doesn't mean that they don't exist.

I finally spoke, "that's funny, but as you can see I'm human, and my whole family is human and so are all my friends."

Rye looked at me, curiosity and sadness flashing in his eyes. "Pen, where do you come from?" He asked.

"I'm from Willow town, why?"

He looked to the drivers seat, "isn't that area 24 mom?" She nodded. He looked thoughtful. "Pen," he started, "when was the last time you saw your family?"

What a weird question. "I saw them a couple years ago, but they aren't dead, and I know that for sure."

Rye looked like he wanted to say something but kept his mouth shut. Ryes mother said, "oh silly me, my names Lauren, I must of forgotten to tell you. But honey, how did you end up at the circus?"

"What's a Circus?" I queried.

"That place where we found you was a circus. how'd you get there?" Rye said answering my question.

"I can't really remember exactly what happened. I just went out for food, I heard someone but before I could turn everything went black." I was silent for a second and then the fear hit me. I was with a random werewolf going to a random location and I was sitting here like we had been friends our whole life. "Wait why are you taking me with you?"

"I'll explain that later, were here." Rye said. I felt my heart start to race as I looked at his home. It was more like a hotel, it reminded of a picture I had seen of when my mom was young, she had gone to a indoor water park. I loved hearing about that, and she had told me that one day I'd get to leave the confines of my shabby, and tiny home, and she said I'd be able to go and see things I could never imagine. I'd get to swim in clean rivers unlike the gross green pond we lived by. She also told me of a forest. We lived by one but I had only been there once. I think I was about five when I had wondered in. It was the most beautiful place, but not long after I had discovered the place I was pulled out of it and scolded. "-en? Pen! Hello?"

"Huh?"

"Come, let's get you inside. We still need to get that cut on your back checked." For some reason I just couldn't focus, like I was hearing everything but I wasn't really here. This has happened to me many times before, and then as usual I got dizzy. I stepped up and Rye caught me. "Still car sick?" I nodded my head yes, even though I new that was not what was wrong.

I followed behind Rye when the dizziness had finally faded. As we entered the place I had realized it was a lobby, like the one in my moms photo album of the water park. There was tons of humans, wait no. There was tons of werewolves, all eyes on me. Did I stand out that much? As if reading my mom Rye said, "they know you're a human because of your sent." Oh okay. Wait what? They can smell the human on me?

Ryes mom pulled me along, even though I hadn't realized I had stopped walking. Rye pressed a button and we waited. I wanted to ask why we were just standing there but then there was s beep and I jumped back squeaking as doors opened. Rye laughed at me as he dragged in the thing. As the doors shut I realized we were trapped and then Rye pressed another button. "What's going on!" I ran to the closed doors trying to open them. They had closed without anyone touching them!!!!

Rye pulled me back. "We are in what's called an elevator, calm down. It's just taking us upstairs to the medical floor so we can get your back checked." I was still a bit confused as the doors opened and it was like we were in a new land. Surrounded by white was and not to far to my right was a big desk like thing, and a lady stood behind it. We walked over and Rye said he need the best available doctor to check me. The lady smiled at me nodded at me and smiled. She had a hair clipped to right above her shoulders, and it was dyed red and white. It looked like a small cane shaped sweet food I had once eaten years ago. she instructed us to go to a room, and we walked there. Ryes mother stayed in the room with the kind lady at the desk.

A man came in, he had light brown hair, with hazel eyes. He was tall and had an average body. He did what Rye called, "checking blood pressure" and "checking my body temperature." He the left, the man was nice and he said he was a nurse. He also took blood from my body which took a while due to the fact that Rye had to hold me still since I was set on running out of the room in fear of them sticking a sharp object into my arm.

Not long after a girl came in, she was tall. She was taller the me but shorter than Rye. She was stunning, she had long black hair that looked to be tinted red. Her eyes are what grabbed my attention, they were an beautiful ice blue. She talked to Rye as though they were good friends, and when I thought about it, they probably were. She looked about his age. She then came over to me checking my back. She was very kind but the so called treatment was torture.

It included having a cream smothered in my but, it was what they called five inches long but not wide and followed along the side of my spine, about an inch away from touching it. Well that's what the girl said. She then told me her name, "I'm Fire, it's very nice to meet you." I liked her, so I told her my name, and we talked for a bit. She told me about caring for the cut, and that she was my doctor and was now responsible for me as her patient.

She the looked confused as if smelling something weird in the air, she looked to Rye and asked him to step out of the room for a minute so she could talk to him.

I couldn't here them well, but I heard my heart beat jump when she said they same words my mother had cried about for days. "He's very ill, Rye, I can tell by the blood samples the nurse took. The sickness is not identifiable though."
