Heavy snores went out of his nose, his saliva drooling over his paper. "Vincent."
Someone voice says softly, Vincent moved his head to another side, wondering who's voice is that?
"Vincent," the voice has gotten more louder and closer. "VINCENT."
All the sound came back to Vincent, he shot straight up from his desk. "W-what?" He says, shocking. His round glasses were crooked, he quickly pushes his glasses up, using both of his hands. The glasses slid down a little, then Vincent pushes it back up.
"Vincent, I been calling you downstairs for 5 minutes!" Victoria says, her stomach is the size of a planet. Her hands gentle rub her stomach, "I'm pregnant, why don't you be a good son and help me around the house?" She tiredly says as she walks towards his desk. "I understand, mom." He replies back.
Victoria stares at his papers, books filled with scribbles and doodles. "We're you up all night drawing again?" Vincent puts them in a pile, "Mom! Their not drawings! It's... its research!" His face being a bright red from embarrassment. "Niño," His mother smiles, "It's okay, come on. Go shower and I'll cook breakfast." His mom then walks out of his bedroom, leaving Vincent smiling as well.
After a hot steamy shower, Vincent stared at himself in the foggy mirror. He can see his wet black curls, dripping down water. He wiped the fog to see himself better. His golden beige skin, matching his light brown eyes.
The outfit he put on was a white button up shirt, his sleeves were up to his elbows and on to cover top of that he had a black vest on. His bottom outfit was a simple black pants, along with some black shoes. His mother wasn't rich, so she let him wear his father clothes. Everyday, his mother would tell him he would look like his father. Which made Vincent happy, he missed his father. As he went downstairs, he smelt bacon.
The freshly made bread came out of the oven. Vincent hungrily sat down by the table, waiting for his mother. Then, he felt someone grabbing his leg. He looked down, seeing his little sister Nikki.
"Morning brother!!" She smiles widely at him. Vincent ruffles her brown hair, Nikki laughs and pulls away. "You messed up my hair!" She says. Nikki birthday was in a month, she's been excited about it. "It's a happy early birthday." Vincent replies, Nikki shook her head. "I'm turning 7! I'm older than you!"
Vincent rolls his eyes playful, "Sure." Vincent letting her win. Victoria places down plates. "Bacon and bread today."
As time went by, they all ate together. "Is father coming back from his trip?" Nikki says, staring at an empty seat. A pause stopped, "Nikki..." Victoria says slowly, Vincent stopped his mother sentence. "D-did you hear that their making a rocket ship over by downtown?" He says, quickly and changing the conversation.
"Well, I have. That's what I wanted to tell you about. I seen your doodles of rockets." His mother told him, picking up the empty plates. "Why do you wanna be an astronaut?" His little sister says, brushing her dolly hair.
"They make a lot of money! I can help mom with bills and taxes, and even get more toys for you!" Vincent says, smiling. "If that even happens." His mother butts in, "Ma, are you kidding? I would!"
His mother laughs, "Niño, I'm just saying the reality." Vincent chuckles a little, and walks to the front door. "I want to go check the rocket ship, ma. I'll be back soon."
