A/n: Hello, I just wanted to let you know before you started reading, alcohol, nicotine, and cigarettes are all gonna be very constant themes. And if you aren't comfortable with that, feel free to stop reading now. But if you are comfortable, enjoy.Late in the afternoon on a Saturday, the sun was shining in the large city of Las Vegas. With only a handful of days left 'till September, the weather was still relatively warm.
A warm breeze flew lightly throughout the city, rays of sun lighting up everything in sight. People flooded the streets of the city, and of course the sound of traffic was completely normal. As a whole, it was a very beautiful day out.
But Jean Kirstein was unable to enjoy any of it.
Due to the fact of his previous roommate leaving campus, the student was forced into a new dormitory.
Frustrated, Jean made his way from the advisor's office, to his new building.
The entire exchange irritated him. He was cooped up in a hot, unconditioned office for well over an hour. Not to mention, he was stuck with a man who had less of a personality, then a brick wall.
He had left getting a roommate to the last second, so he ended up getting stuck in a new building. He wanted to room with one of his teammates again, but when he finally got around to asking, everyone already had a roommate.
The only one who was open to rooming with him, was Eren. And he would much rather room with someone new then Eren.
Not to mention, he figured Eren only said that to get on his nerves.
"L/n, room 104." As he exited the elevator, he muttered these words over and over again as he read the small slip of paper the advisor had handed him. His room was the third closest on the left once he entered the floor. "Please let this guy not be a dick." He mumbled as he placed his hand on the handle.
He had a good roommate last semester. Although he was kind of a slob, he was nice, and Jean was comfortable with him. Jean just hoped that his new roommate would be at least half as good as his last.
When he opened the door, his roommate seemed to be nowhere in sight. All who was in the room, was you. Along with your figure standing by the window, Jean noticed something in your hand, plus the cloud of smoke forming in front of you.
"Hey uh, excuse me?"
"Hm?" You turned your head to see who was behind you, instinctively shoving whatever you held into your pocket.
"Uh do you know when L/n will be back?"
"Depends, who wants to know?" You chuckled as you made your way towards him.
"I'm his new roommate, Jean Kirstein." He placed his hand out.
"Nice to meet you Jean. I'm Y/n. Y/n L/n." You firmly shook his hand.
"Y/n L/n? You're L/n. You're my roommate?" The shock in his voice was prominent.
"Not what you expected?" You chuckled.
"Definitely not, no." He ran his hand over his face, rubbing his eyes. "The slip just had your last name listed, so I just expected a guy."
"I figured as much."
After a few moments of silence, Jean awkwardly explained to you how he was going to bring his boxes inside, and start unpacking.
After a nod and a smile, Jean exited the room, and you disappeared into the bathroom.'Co-Ed dorms, huh?' He thought to himself as he slightly shook his head.
Jean brought his boxes in from the hallway. He looked at his new living space from the doorway, trying to get accustomed to where he would be living for the next year.
