Once a loving husband

In the year 1967, The Williams family was a big deal; Mr. Williams, formerly known as Papa, was a huge black man, and he was 6'2 ft; his mustache was dark black and well-shaped, making him look younger than his age, he used to wear suits that cost close to hundred and thousands of bucks and his Wife Adama commonly known as mama was curvy, small brown eyes and had brown skin, she used to wear African lappa that was costly and wore jewelry of all kind, and they had their apartment down 16 street Sinkor Monrovia, people who entered their house knew what it was to live In paradise, but it was short-lived when Mr. Williams found out Mama had an Affair with one of his colleagues, he didn't confront her, but instead he planned to ridicule her to their family at a grand party he was hosting, unknown to him Mama had planned to elope with her lover leaving Papa to take care of their children, Hope was four years while Kojo was still a baby.
"Morning, My Darling," said papa, kissing mama's cheeks
"Morning, my husband," she replied
"Today is a massive day. Are you ready? He asked, getting out of bed
"Yes, I am ready; I've been prepared for a very long time," she answered, wrapping herself in the sheets
"That's good, but you have to get up and get ready. The caterer will be here with the food anytime, and you need to confirm it's what we ordered them to cook," he said, walking out
"Okay, my husband," she replied 
*phone Chimes*
"How are you going to leave that house today?" was the message her lover sent her
"We will cause a distraction and leave when everyone is trying to figure it out she texted back
"Okay, great, I will be there 3 pm" the message came in
"I will be waiting," she replied 
Few mins later, she walked to the kitchen to inspect the food per papa's request, and everything was ready within 2 hours.
Guest became to pour in by noon, and mama was well dressed in the African Attire papa bought for her; her neck was glittering as she wore $40,000UsD Gold Necklace, her beautiful smile pull a shock on the guest faces, and they couldn't imagine how lucky papa was to have such woman as his wife. Papa stood by her side, holding her hands, welcoming their guests in, and he introduced her to every influential person that entered the house...the party started, and everything was going as plan for both papa and mama.
Papa had videos and pictures of mama and her boyfriend together. He planned to play the video during Thanksgiving time for everyone to see how dirty mama was even though her utter appearance was gold.
When the party was in the middle, papa started having second thoughts of humiliating his wife. Although she was cheating, he loved her greatly, and he didn't want to lose her by his actions; instead of playing the video, he decided he will confront her after the party.
During Thanksgiving, Papa was called up to talk to the people " I want to thank every one of you for coming to celebrate with us, it means a lot to me, but I want to thank my beautiful wife, she's everything to me, my life, best friend, partner and most definitely my children's mother, it is because of this woman I have everything I have, because of her I can walk with my heads high knowing I can depend on her solely, I love her with every beat of her my heart and I love my children she gave birth to, they are my everything, cheers to the present, the future and the real friends and family members, may our beds be soft and our wife be wet and our pocket filled, Cheers" said Papa" Cheers " replied the crowd. Mama started crying, and she realized how much she loved her husband and didn't want to elope anymore. She tried calling her lover to break up, but he couldn't agree, she came back to the party and pretended she was okay. 
Everything was going on as planned until Papa noticed Mama's lover entering the house; he quickly got off his seat and asked the young man to leave his home" I'm sorry you aren't welcome here, sir," papa said nicely 
" I thought everyone was welcome? Replied the love
" yes, but not you, please leave my house now," Papa replied with a serious face 
"My Husband, is everything okay? Mama said, walking towards them
"Your husband said I'm not welcome, and i don't know why" replied the lover
"My husband, please don't create."
"Let this young man leave this place now," said papa interrupting Mama rudely
Everyone who heard Papa yell started paying attention to them
"Okay, easy, I will leave, "the lover said, walking out
Mama quickly ran to her room to text her lover, and papa went to his friends to apologize for his yelling, and suddenly there came a yell from the kitchen
"Fire!!Fire!! Fire!" 
Everyone scatters, and people started leaving; papa quickly ran to the kitchen and saw the fire was running through his house like there were dry leaves in there; he tries to cut the fire off but no way, Mama ran to her children's room and brought them outside, Papa watched as his house burnt down to the ground, along with all his money, Papa didn't believe in keeping his money at the bank, he prefers staring at his house every night before he sleeps and there it was on fire, he stood there in shock, and his tears flowed through his mustache freely. He was traumatized and couldn't say a word. Mama hugged him in consolation, and he cried on her like a baby, and his guest told him they were sorry, and they left
An hour later one of the guests said they saw who set the house ablaze and with the given description it was mama's lover; they searched for him, but they couldn't find him, papa became broke, and his friends and family abandoned him, claiming he was ritualist that's why he lost everything he had, papa became to drink as time goes by Papa became adjusted and blames mama for the situation they were in; as much as he was hurt, he still loved her and didn't want to lose her, they stuck together, but he did everything he could to make her suffer every day in remembrance of what she did. Mama tried to put with him repeatedly till she couldn't anymore; she became heartless and didn't care what became of him or their children. As Hope grew up, seeing her parents fight all the time and being bullied by her friends changed her, she stops asking her parents to stop fighting, stopped looking after her brother, and became unconscious of the things she does to please herself. Kojo grew up seeing his family scattered, and he's the only person fighting to change his family history. 

*Present Day*
"Wake up! It's almost 10, where is your mother? Yelled Papa 
Kojo struggled to open his eyes and saw his father standing over him with a straight face
He jumped from the ground and balanced himself 
"She ran outside right before you nearly killed me, did you forget? Asked Kojo looking into thin air
"You shouldn't have interfered, Kojo," replied papa calmly 
"Why are you the way you are? Have you been like this always? Kojo cried out
"No, I wasn't, a lot has changed, there are so many bruises on your skin, you need to take tablets, you are starting to get a fever," replied Papa bending his head down
"What do you care about?" Asked Kojo 
"Suit yourself," replied Papa walking out
Kojo watched papa walk out of the room, and he fought to get on the bed to cover himself, as he was cold even though the sun was hot.
