"Have you seen Y/n, Gon, Killua, and Reiji lately?" Kurapika asked Leorio, looking up from his book at him.
Leorio sat down on the bed beside him and thought for a moment.
"No, I haven't.. the last time I saw them was after they came back from the cruise you booked," Leorio answered, looking up in thought. "But I'm sure they'll turn up eventually! It's just what kids do."
Kurapika closed his book and sighed. "Yeah, you're right.. maybe I should stop worrying so much."
He laid his book in the nightstand and rolled over to his side. His back was facing Leorio.
Leorio took his glasses off and sat them on the nightstand on his side and pulled Kurapika into a warm hug.
Kurapika hummed and pulled she covers over them for warmth. While doing so, Leorio pulled the little dangly thingy on the lamp, making the room fall dark.
----
The leaves crunched as Y/n made her way through the woods, crickets being heard from all around and lightning bugs slightly lighting up her surroundings.
She sat down, leaning against a tree. She needed to rest; she'd been doing a lot of walking. She sighed, her shoulders finally resting.
Y/n looked down at the scrolls she was holding, and then back up at the stars through the trees. "Don't worry. I'll get there soon.."Two days earlier...
Y/n sat down on top of a hill, looking up at the leaves of the tree that sat next to her. They swayed in the wind, making a soothing sound as they brushed up against one another.
She felt she had nothing else to do other than to just.. exist.
It was hard to do things like she used to without her lover, her friend, or her childhood friend. And she was not about to go back to her father.
She sighed, her eyes filling with tears. Her breath grew shakey. She bit her bottom lip as her eyebrows began to furrow.
She reached up and wiped her eyes, clearing her mind of the thoughts that haunted her every second she was left alone. She didn't feel like crying again.
She was about to get up and exist some more, when she heard a little thud beside her. She looked over, and there was a white cylindrical prism with what looked like golden vines decorating it. There was also a wax stamp on it, sealing it closed.
It looked sort of like a scroll, but she wasn't sure. She sat up and examined it. It shimmered a glittery gold and had tiny little details. It looked at if there were gold vines that had grown around it.
She rolled it over and looked at the wax seal. What looked like a little fire symbol stamp was used to press the wax onto it.
She pulled the seal off, simultaneously opening it as well. She unrolled the scroll, and looked over it without reading it.
The handwriting was neat, and written in ink. Almost the entire page was covered in the cursive writing, piquing Y/n's interest.
She began to read it silently.
"Dear traveller,
However you found this, you were meant to find it. The universe sent it to you for a reason. There is an ancient sword hidden in the depths of Whale Ocean (Bro idk whale island, whale ocean? I had to think of something) that only the immortal and heartbroken can attain. It is in an ancient temple, protected by guards. But as long as you've received this letter, they'll let you in. This sword that they are protecting can bring back the lives of as many as ten people, and it can cast any spell of your wish-even your own. If you are wondering how you are going to get there, do not worry. As soon as you layed eyes on this paper, I cast a water breathing spell that will only wear out whenever you want it to. So, traveller, I hope you use this wisely. Do not take advantage of it's power.
Rooting for you,
-------"The ink at the bottom was smudged, preventing Y/n from reading the signature. Her beart sped up and her eyes widened as she read. Was she really going to get her friends back? Is all of this true?
She sat the scroll on her lap, and noticed something. A second paper? She pulled the paper out from behind the letter, and placed it on top.
It was a map of Whale Island and Whale Ocean. In the middle of Whale Ocean, a little x written in red ink was visible. There was a little circle written in red ink as well.
"I guess that's me?" She assumed, pointing at the little circle.
The circle was a around what looked like a tree in the middle of a plain. Y/n looked around, and yep. She was in the middle of a plain. But why is there just a random hill in the middle of a... nevermind.
"Okay, I just need a compass.." She furrowed my eyebrows and looked around her. Maybe one fell with the scroll-
She felt something metal fall on top of her head. Hard.
"OW- WHAT THE F..." She looked down and saw that it was a compass that had fallen on her. "What kind of Wattpad shit is this..?'
She picked up the compass and turned it in different directions. It seemed to work properly. She looked down at the map to see which direction she needed to go.
She need to go South--the direction of the ancient temple where the sword was held. She picked up the compass and turned so she could go South.
Rolling the scrolls back up and holding the compass in front of her, Y/n felt a spark of hope. For the first time in a while, she felt like things might go good for her. She might actually get her friends back.
A small smile crept upon Y/n's face. She was determined to get her friends back.

That boy's notes: HEY BITCHES I'M BACK.Sorry for the excessively long hiatus. My bf offed himself without saying anything about why he was in pain to me, my mom and step-dad are getting a divorce, and I'm addicted to genshin impact and using it as a coping mechanism.
But I'm here now and I'm going to publish the rest of the story all at once!
I hope you enjoy it!
