Hidden mask [xiaoxventi]

School

"ughh..." Venti groaned, how horrible it was. Waking up every time just for school. I just want to skip school... Venti rubbed his eyes. He looked at the time. WHAT? I'm GONNA BE LATE! Venti brushed his hair, wore his uniform and took a fresh apple from the dining table. He ran to school. Suddenly, he bumped into somebody. 

"Hey, watch where you're going." 
"O-oh. Sorry!" Venti apologised,
"Tsk. Seriously, you really need to stop being so careless." 
"Heh, sorry Diluc!" 

Diluc was Venti's friend. A popular boy with fluffy red hair and a serious personality. They two walked to school not realizing how late they were.

"Hey Ganyu!" Venti said
"Ah, good morning! Don't you know you're late?"
"Uh... late?"
"uhm, yes, you're late."

The two boys ran inside their classroom panting. The teacher lectured them and continued with the lesson. Since venti didn't have a lot of sleep, he decided to sleep.

DIING!!!

The bell woke Venti up. Venti got up startled and went to the cafeteria. He bought a sandwich and a juicebox. He decided that these could fill him up. 

"XIAOO!!!!" Venti yelled,
Xiao was Venti's best friend. Xiao was quiet but venti was quite the opposite. 

"I heard you were late to school," Xiao laughed,
"Stop laughing at me! It isn't my fault that I was late, my alarm didn't wake me!" Venti grumbled

The two ate together and chatted with each other. They were very close friends and they protected each other from bullies or when the other person needs help.

Xiao wasn't famous. He was a lonely kid and not many people liked him. He had friends like Venti, Zhongli, Ganyu and more but kids from other classes disliked him.

"Oh look, Venti's eating with Xiao again."
"Seriously? Venti could've picked better. Xiao is soo grumpy."
"Haha! That's true. I bet Venti's just friends with Xiao cause he pity Xiao!"
"Psst! They can hear us! C'mon let's go."

Xiao could hear them but he ignores them. He knew Venti's friendship with him wasn't all a lie. They were friends when they were kids. Xiao felt that without Venti, Xiao's life would been a mess. Nothing could separate them. Not even if one of them moves out.
