Tournament

Yuki's P.O.V.

-flahsback when Yuki was 6-

I was here at some tennis courts and I was in the 6 and up boys tournament. I was supposed to be with Kei-chan, but Otou-san forced me and said that this would be good for me so I went.

"Echizen Yuki and Akihiro Daichi report to Court 3."

I made it to the court in time since Otou-san kept stopping to talk to girls, I went off without him. When I got there, there was a boy with brown hair and slanted eyes. I got out my racket and I walked up to him to shake hands, but he replied "Eww. No I don't want to touch a girl."

I frowned and in 5 minutes, I won 6-0. I noticed that his backhand was weak so I hit all backhand shots. I didn't even use half of my strength.

Narrator's P.O.V.

Little did Yuki know that a bluenette and a boy wearing a cap was watching her.

"She's ok, huh Genichirou? You're playing her next afterall."

"Hn."

Yuki's P.O.V.

After that match with the arrogant boy, I went off to find Oyaji and asked him for money. Then, I went to the nearest vending machine when I received a phone call from Kaa-san.

"Yuki? How's the tournament?"

"Ah, it's going good kaa-san. But otou-san is talking to some girls the whole time."

On the other end, I heard mutterings and loud clangings.

"Okay. Yuki. Do your best. I'll be there to support you later."

"Mm! Bye okaa-san!"

Then, "Echizen Yuki and Sanada Genichirou to Court 5"

I went to Court 5 to see a boy wearing a blue cap and a bluenette standing close to each other. I went up to him and said, "Let's have a good game." with my hand out and surprisingly, he shook it.

He was definitely better than all the other boys I played and I beat him in 20 minutes with 6-2.

"Good game."

"Hn." Ah...I see. He's like Kuni-chan.

I won first place and Sanada won second place. After the competition, I sat on a bench and waited for otou-san to finish.

Then, I saw the boy that lost against me who was named Akahiro Dai maybe? I wasn't sure, but he was with his friends and there were 5 of them.

"Can I help them?" I asked when they were right in front of me.

"Yeah. Let's play a rematch."

"I'm sorry, but maybe next time. I have to get going." but he grabbed my wrist and yanked me back.

"Ah!!!" I screamed and suddenly 5 tennis balls came out of no where and hit all of them. I looked to see Sanada and that bluenette from earlier.

"TARUNDORU! Take your defeat like a man. You must be cowards to pick on a girl!"

They all ran away after Sanada shouted.

"Are you okay?" the blunette extended his hand to me.

"Yeah. Thank you Sanada-san."

"Would you like to play some tennis with us? It's the first time I've ever seen Genichirou lose"

"Sure!" I chirped and I followed them to some public tennis courts.

"My name is Yukimura Seiichi."

"Hi! I'm Echizen Yuki!" and then we both looked to the one who has not introduced himself yet. Finally giving up, he said, "Sanada Genichirou."

I started to play a game with Yukimura-san and he used some strange technique on me that didn't allow me to see or hear, but I won the game 6-3.

"You're strong Yuki-chan." Yukimura-san complimented me.

"Thanks!" but then I turned to face Sanada-san.

"Are you tring to defeat someone?" I asked.

Sanada's eyes widened and he nodded.

"I could tell. Lower your racket and I could tell you do kendo so why don't you use some of your kendo moves and make tennis moves?"

His eyes widened and Yukimura-san asked Sanada for a game and told him to follow what I asked. After a rally, they stopped.

"Genichirou. She's right. Your shots have become stronger by lowering your racket."

Overtime, I got their phone numbers and I hung out with them, helping Gen-chan with creating his moves and slowly, I learned that Gen-chan had a loving side to him as well. Both Sei-chan and I started to enjoy teasing him and making him blush. I also vistied Gen-chan's house often and started learning kendo moves. His grandfather became fond of me and gave me free lessons so I practiced kendo in their dojo and helped Gen-chan wih his moves. We all started to go to competitions together.

One night, we were walking home together, and it was dark and the streets were quite empty. I stuck closer to Gen-chan since he was warm and he pulled me closer as well. Sei-chan was on my other side. They walked me to my house and before they left, I gave both of them pecks on the cheeks.

"Bye!!!" I waved.

Unknown to the girl, both of the boys were blushing like tomatos. Even the blunette.
