ALEC-
I walk down an empty street, thinking of what had just happened..

I pictured the anger in my father's face, and the disappointment in my mother's when they found out the secret I tried so hard to keep. I, Alexander Lightwood, am gay. My parents overheard my sister telling me she doesn't care that I'm gay, and she supports me. My dad barged into my room and started screaming at me to leave and never come back, while my mom looked at me like a disappointment, and my sister stood in shock.

So like he told me to do, I left.

And now I'm on the streets of Brooklyn, in the middle if December. At night, might I add.

Perfect. Just perfect.

I walk around for a bit, trying to find a place to sleep for the night.

Brooklyn is scary at night. There's dark ally ways covered in graffiti with gangs hiding in the darkness, waiting for someone as helpless as me to jump. The streets are still a tad busy at this time of night, but no where near as busy as during the day.

After walking around, I find a park surrounded by trees. I make my way to one of the benches, and lay there. Its not much, but it'll have to do.

MAGNUS-

I can not sleep. I thought. It was around 3 AM and I could not sleep, so I decided to take a short walk around Brooklyn.

I was walking around the park close to my apartment complex when I saw him. He was laying on one of the benches, and seemed to be asleep. I walk a little closer to get a closer look at this boy, and by the angel he was gorgeous.

He had hair black as the night sky, and very pale skin. He looked maybe 19 years old. He look so peaceful in his sleep, however I noted that he only had a light, worn out sweater and jeans on.

So I woke him up

"Sir?" I whispered and shook him a bit.

He slowly opened him eyes and jumped a little when he saw me. This boy looked terrified

"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. However please, come with me back to my house. It's freezing outside and you could get frostbite" I told him

He slowly nodded and got up.

"Thank you so much, I really appreciate it."

"It's nothing, just follow me until we get to my apartment. I'm Magnus Bane by the way."

"Thank you, I really appreciate it. I'm Alec."
