Two Weeks Ago

Rain fell from the sky, droplets of water bouncing up and down as it hit the rocks on the room; thumps echoing throughout the room. They both lay on his bed, his arms around her body pressing her into his own; her head below his chin on his chest. Her grip was tight around his waist while his fingers danced in an up and down pattern along her arm.

She sighed watching his movements while his touch formed tiny white goose bumps on her skin. Burying her face into his chest her grip tightened around him, “It’s selfish of me to not want you to go.” He stilled his hand on her arm, a sigh leaving his lips while he used his free hand to rub his face. “I don’t want to go.” She sat up immediately, her heart rapidly beating against her chest.

Plopping herself on top of him she straddled his waist, “then stay!” Her hands griped his own, intertwining her fingers in between his locking them tight, “stay with me.” He sat up with her still in his lap; his painful eyes boring into her sadden ones. Closing his eyes he kissed her forehead before resting his against her own and sighed. He untwined their fingers, his hands immediately molding to her waist pulling her body closer to his. Her hands magnetically connected, locking herself around his neck closing the small gap that was between them.

Tears fell from her eyes as she held on to him, her heart blending in with his own beat. Tightening his grip, he rubbed her back soothing her, whispering “it’s going to be okay,” over and over in her ear. Biting her lip from allowing her cries to spill she kissed the side of his neck, her lips trailing up to his jaw. She let out a shaky shy before planting a soft kiss on his cheek, her lips lingering just about his skin before pulling away.

Gliding her nose along his skin she nuzzed his neck letting out a heavy sigh. A tear fell from his eye and his adam’s apple bobbed while his breath quickened; his fingers tightening around her waist, squeezing her skin. Everywhere her lips touched, his skin was heated and when they left he felt nothing but cold.

They sat on his bed, her body still straddling his facing each other cheek to cheek. The sound of their breathing joined the pattering of rain beating against the house. Kissing his cheek once more, she places her lips against his ear letting out a shaky breath, “I’d go anywhere with you.”
