walking home

Kaitlayn walks home after a tiring and long day at school with lots of trouble waiting for her.

The streets were nearly pitch black due to the cheap light bulbs that were used as street lights, meaning Kaitlyn had to rush home as quick as she could. It was a very quiet evening, which gave Kaitlyn anxiety about danger hiding somewhere in the dark. She felt like there was a figure watching as she walks slowly towards the house at the end of the street. When she saw a shadow moving, she knew she had to make a run for her house. She ran as quick as she could and managed to reach safety before danger could get her.

It wasn't a very large house, it was a two-story house with a simple design from the look outside. There were a lot of decorations outside, abandoned since Christmas. You could see the ornaments still laying around, you could even spot some jack'o lantern stickers laying there on the grass of their porch. There is a light bulb hanging there but it has been broken for many months. Behind the house is a backyard, with a lemon tree being there before they moved in, assumably in the 1980s. It was pretty much a fine affordable house.

Kaitlyn rushed inside and locked the front door behind her, not letting anyone in, she sighed in relief. The house was very quiet also, since there were no presence of her family. They had all gone on a vacation, leaving Kaitlyn behind because they decided that education was more important for her than vacations. She was very angry, but couldn't bother arguing.

Hunger was calling her so she decided to grab any leftover she could find in the fridge, just so she could take a rest after long hours of after-school detention.

During the time she was at school, there was really nothing wrong. Then loud noises came from the school yard, which drew the attention of Kaitlyn and various other students.

She quickly ran out of her classroom to see what was going on, as she heard the voice of her bestfriend out there. Right when she walked out, she was caught in a big fight between two students, one of them being her bestfriend. She tried to get in between them, as well as try to learn the story behind this massive argument. Turns out, these two girls were fighting over a phone case, which both of them claimed it was theirs.

Kaitlyn tried to calm those two down but it was no use. The other girl decided to use violence to win this fight, so she launches at Kaitlyn's bestfriend, making her have no choice other than pushing the girl out. The girl fell on the floor with her knees scratched, but she wouldn't give up that easily. Instead of attacking the bestfriend, she decides to go for Kaitlyn, as Kaitlyn ruined her chance. They started punching the other one continuously. Some students were cheering for them, some gave a terrified look, the others didn't even care. Kaitlyn knocked the other girl out, right when a teacher came to intercept the two. Kaitlyn tried to explain herself out, but then receives after-school detention. She was furious, but she knew she couldn't do anything or things would just get worse. She stormed back to class, leaving the teacher behind questioning the backstory for this fight.

After finishing up, Kaitlyn walks up to her room to get some nice rest. She opens the door, only to be welcomed by a huge mess. Books were lying everywhere on the floor, so were her clothes. Her blanket and pillow got black stains on them, her drawers were left opened. It was almost like the results after a war happening.

"It must be Alina, there wouldn't be anyone else creating such a mess.", Kaitlyn sighs.

She starts to clean up this huge mess, one by one. The room started to come back to its original look, which Kaitlyn seems relieved about. After the long cleanup, she jumps on her bed and starts watching tiktok. Scrolling, then more scrolling, Kaitlyn started feeling extremely tired. It was 9 pm, which seemed very early. Kaitlyn decides its best to get a early sleep after such a dreadful day. She brushes her teeth, then heads off to bed.
