The Walk

It was a peaceful night. The wind was blowing, the pond was alive with frogs & toads croaking. The water was rippling as the waterfall fell from the cliff. The smell of pine & cherry blossoms drifted through the open window, tingling the red & white haired prince's nose.

He was awake, just waiting for the perfect moment to jump out the window & into the luscious garden. After around half an hour, the prince got out of bed, put on some warm clothing, & jumped into the garden.

He heard a large bang & jumped to the side, he couldn't afford to get caught. The prince heard some cursing, & then the sound of metal boots clacking away on the cement flooring. He looked at who was there. It was his new bodyguard! She was pacing around, looking for a bench to sit on. Soon, she found one & sat down, taking off her boot & rubbing her foot. It seemed like she had hit it on something. She stopped rubbing her foot and looked up, she put on her boot and looked in his direction.

"Who's there!" She said in a loud voice, what an idiot. She's just saying this to sound brave, what if someone dangerous was there, then what would she do. He sighed and stepped out, bracing himself for the scolding that was about to happen.

Momo stared in shock, he looked even more attractive in the moon- she shook her head, what was she thinking! He was the crown prince and she was just a little knight.

"A knight who was once the daughter of a very rich family!" Said her inner voice

"Shut up!" She yelled at her inner voice

"Hello? Are you going to stop staring?" Asked the half and half colored hair boy.

"Sorry your majesty! I was just lost in my thoughts," she blushed. The price noticed this and decided to take advantage

"Well what where you thinking about?" He said with a smirk

Momo held in a gasp as he inched closer. She held her composure and said cooly, "I was thinking about why you are outside so late,"

The prince's smirk didn't disappear after she said that, he just kept inching closer and closer and closer, he grabbed her hand, and took her to a secluded area, with a pond and a fallen log. There were crickets chirping and toads croaking.

"Your highness why are we here? And what were you doing out so late" Asked the flustered knight.

"How about you tell me why you are out at night right now?"

Momo looked at him in amusement, "You're just saying the same things as me!"

"Maybe I am! Now, if you'll excuse me," the prince left in a flash, leaving the knight alone & confused in the pond, wondering what just happened
