I tossed over and crack my eye lids open. I close my eye lids back. Then realized last night wasn't a dream. I open my eyes wide open this time and jump up. I look over to see if Kaiden was in the bed with me. But he wasn't thankfully. He must have left when I went back to sleep. I get up to look for my phone. I really hope I didn't lose it last night. I glance at the night stand and then head to the desk he had in his room. Where I came across my phone nicely stacked on my clutch. I grab them when I see missed calls from my dad, brother, and Harlee. Fuck. I then look back at the desk to see he had papers scattered all over the table. Some were bank statements and others were maps of Atlanta. I quickly went back to the bed, trying not to be too nosey in the man's business. It's not right. I wouldn't anybody going through stuff of mine.

I unlock my phone. I first call Harlee. I would rather call  her than my dad or brother when I am not here. I don't need my dad asking about my love life. In case he heres Kaiden's voice. And I don't need my brother showing up with his stupid protective ass. He should be more worried about his failing marriage. But always try to act like some super hero to me.

Harlee voices echoes through my ears, she sounded still half asleep. "Hello." Her voice was rough and groggy.

"Can you come pick me up?" I say biting my lip. I didn't want to burden Kaiden with that. He seemed like a busy man. Or maybe I was nervous to ask him. Regardless. I didn't want to.

"I'm was asleep." She yawns. "Where are you anyway?"

I sigh not knowing if I want to even speak about Kaiden to Harlee. She has a big mouth. And I felt better off keeping Kaiden a secret. As least for now. I only have met him twice. It's not like we were going to be soulmates. I had to remind myself he was Navaeh's brother. And no matter how hot he is. I have to keep on a friendly level. Harlee breaks my thought.

"Ari?" She hums.

"Right." I say. "I will send you the address." I say putting her on speaker to send her my location as she groans some more. As I clicked sent. I then hear the door knob twist to Kaiden's bedroom. As he opened the door. I see him with a grin. He had a plate in hand. "Heres breakfast." He says handing it to me. I looked at him like a deer in headlights. "If you want it?"

"I." Looking down at my phone. I hang up with Harlee without saying anything else. "Thank you." I smile. "Didn't know you could cook."

He says nothing as he goes over to the desk and puts all the papers he had scattered, into a neat stack. "Whenever you get finished up. I can drop you off."

I nod as I stab the part of the scrambled egg. I put into my mouth. Wow, I didn't know how bad I needed this up until now. It was so good. He then takes the the neat stack of the papers he made and walked out of the room. My phone vibrates with Harlee texting me.

BITCH. You hung up on me.

I type back.

Sorry, I found a ride. So go back to sleep grumpy.

I giggle as I lock my phone back. I finish off the plate that Kaiden brought me. I look around to grab my shoes. I looked like I had a one night stand with my hungover face and how stupid I was dressed with my dress from the night before. Kaiden pops back in. Scaring the fucking shit out of me, I grab my chest as I look at him.

"Also do you wanna borrow something to wear home." He asks with a twinkle in his eye.

"Really?" I exclaim. He grins holding out an oversized black tshirt. I grab it and put it over my dress to at least not look like a slut in the early morning. His roommates probably think I am his hoe that he hooked up with for the night. I walk out of his room. Following him out, closing his door behind me. He guides me through the house. Being who I am and wanting to know my surroundings. I glance as we walk through. I see 2 men sitting on the couch.

"Im heading out." Kaiden said crisply. The one a sleeve of tattoos, very muscular, tan skin, and long curly hair. He reminded me of a surfer dude. "Alright boss man. Are we have the meeting still?"

Kaiden glances at me and then back at the man. "Yes. We will be, as soon as I get back. So get everyone together."

The other guy on the couch was quiet. He looked about Hardin's age or a little bit older. His eyes stared me down, the golden brown eyes staring through me. I didn't know if I should feel offended or run with it. His wore a baseball cap backwards, as you saw his light brown locks seeking their way out. Skater vibe. I don't know why I had to give them each a vibe.

"Jason." Kaiden says breaking the guy staring me down, "Do you have a problem?" His words came out with so much hatred in them.

"No." He said fixing his hat nervously. "I just zoned out for a minute. Meeting right?"

Kaiden stares at him long and hard trying to contain himself. "Yes." Was all he managed to get out. I felt tension between them. And I did not like it. He then continues to walk away. As I follow behind him. I glance back at Justin who just got embarrassed by Kaiden with a smile. I wave and I worded "Bye." He smiles back with a wink. The man who sat beside him nudged him as his eyes shoot to Kaiden who was waiting at the door. I speed up to meet with Kaiden who shuts, I should say.... slam the door. I jump wondering what had him angry.

"Are you okay?" I say as he walked to his car unlocking it.

"Peachy." The tone in his voice was more sarcasm than anything. Which made me wonder if he was a little jealous at Jason, "You don't seem okay." I play with my hair.

He stops mid walking and turns around with eyes dark, "Stay away from my members." I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. He proceeds taking a step toward me, "I don't trust them with you." He chuckles, "Better yet, don't speak to them. They work for me. And I don't them getting side tracked by some girl that hangs around at my house."

"I'm sorry." I say taken back. I felt offended and embarrassed. Didn't know my presence was that horrific. I just felt bad for the kid.

He sighs, "No." His tone suddenly changed, "I should be sorry. I just don't like girls that I bring around for them to try to get close to."

"Is this because I am Navaeh's friend or-" I ask before getting cut off.

"No, this is because I care about you. To the point of I don't want you to get hurt." My heart felt like it did a hundred back flips. I couldn't quite get my words out, it felt almost as a dream. I parted my lips to let out something but I was silent.

"You deserve better than what any of those men in there want to offer you. Trust me." He said as he proceeded to his car opening the door.

"What about you?" I flirt. I smirk. He was completely taken by my comment. "What about me?" He grins in a devilish manner.

"Do I deserve better than what you can offer me?" I say biting my bottom lip like a obsessive school girl who can't stop thinking about her crush. His eyes then fixated on me as he starts his engine, "Theres is a lot I can offer if you are willing."
