 Chapter 4

The bronze beaked birds:

When we got to the first part of the forest an obstacle greeted us with open arms. We were walking through the forest and suddenly a murderous screech came from above. I looked up. Instant mistake.

11 birds with bronze beaks and murderous claws! I instantly gulped. Suddenly, what looked like the leader swooped down.

" guys, Run. Now!''I said, pointing at the sky. They looked up. Amy's eyes widened. We ran to the hills of stone. The birds quickly followed behind us.

We ran further and further until we came to the rockmore cliffs. The birds were turning the corner.

Then Amy must have spotted a way out because she grabbed us and said ," jump!".

" Are you crazy, we'll die", the rest of us said in unison.

" trust me on this '', she said. We nodded.

" 1, 2,3! Jump!'', she said. On 3 we jumped. Stones split and we rode them like surfboards. The birds were still close behind though.

We finally reached the bottom. Amy took out a shield and sword and banged them together. Suddenly, the birds shrieked in madness and hurt.

"How- did you-", I said, sputtering in amazement. My eyes grew the size of saucers. She kept on banging. The birds finally retreated.

"That was so cool! But, why didn't you do it before we got to the cliffs?", I asked. We nodded.

" because of him,"she said while pointing to something in the distance. It was a boy. There was a busy village behind him. We started towards him. when we finally got there, we saw the boy was not only a boy but 5.

One had black hair, coconut colored skin and milk chocolate colored eyes. One had blond hair, snow white skin and multicolored eyes. One eye was Emerald green and another amber. Another boy had almond colored skin, red hair and amber eyes. And another boy had tan skin, blue eyes and brown hair.

Personally the one with the blond hair is cute, I said with a blush on my face. Then I shook it out of my system. I didn't even know him!

"Hi, my name is Kyra Woodburns, these are my friends", I said shaking his hand. He shook mine back.

"My name is Jack and these are my friends ,'' He said.

"Well nice to meet you jack", I said blushing furiously. He blushed back. When we all finished introducing ourselves,we left. We went in search for a inn or hotel. Finally, we came upon the best beds and breakfast.

"How about here?", I ask them. They nod. We walk inside, and get ourselves a key. We walk inside our room.

There are 4 beds each. Someone needed to share one. Isabella and Amani got to share the bed.

Only because cleo shipped them. It soon grew dark. We all blew out the launterns and wished each other a goodnight and slept. The next morning we packed our bags, and left. when we try to wake up Amani and Isabella though, They are nowhere to be found.

"Where are they?", I asked. Everyone except cleo Shrugged.

" Do you know where they are, Cleo", I said with a suspicious look on my face. she still fell silent.

"Cleo answer me, now!", I said with an angry look On my face. Then she nodded.

"Where?", We all ask except her. She took a minute before answering.

" they went to be alone. Together,'' She said with a massive grin.

" is it a date, or a hang out? ," Arriana said with a giddy squeal.

" possibly a date", she said as if she was talking to an audience.

" guys this is serious where are they?", I said with a cross look on my face.

" They told us not to tell", they said in usioun.

" I see them, they're here", Cleo and Arriana say.

We all look out the window. There they were. hand in hand. with a dreamy look on their face. It was love at first sight.

" we're back," they say in Usion. We jump out of our hiding spots.

" Where were you", I say with an angry look on my face. They have a Surprised look on their face.

" we were just- at-", they sputter.

" Tell us everything'', Cleo and Arriana say with a squeal. We gather around on the floor.

"Okay ,here we go", amani says.
