You will meet a couple of new characters in this chapter.

Emma went up to the window and saw nothing outside her window, but she kept hearing the thudding. She made sure that the window was locked and pulled her curtains over the window. Emma went back to bed hoping that the thudding would stop, eventually the thudding stopped after she was fast asleep. Emma heard the grandfather clock from downstairs ring five times before she woke up. She knew it was time to get ready for school.

Emma changed from her pink nightgown into her ugly maroon uniform for school. She combed her hair so she would not look like a wild dog. She snatched her diary from her bed and set the diary in her bag, then Emma headed downstairs. Emma wanted to avoid her mum, so she grabbed an apple to go; then left the house precisely at 5:50 A.M.

She didn't know what to do for two hours before school. Emma knew she did not want to go home and if she went to her Aunt Wendy's house, she knew she would not be able to see her friends outside of school for at least a month.

Emma decided to go to her best friend's house. Emma's best friend name is Elizabeth Smith; Elizabeth is head girl of their year, and she has the palest skin in all of London, but she has ebony hair to cover up the pale skin.

When Emma arrived at Elizabeth's house, she was greeted by the Smith's butler Thomas and he let her inside the house. Emma ran upstairs to Elizabeth's room, opened the door, and jumped on her best friend.

Emma: Good morning Eliza!

Elizabeth moaned: Do not call me Eliza. What time is it?

Emma laughed: It is 6:17, you need to wake up before Hook comes and captures you!

Elizabeth: Emma, Get off of me! Hook is not going to take me!

Emma got off Elizabeth's bed and stood next to the bed.

Elizabeth: I am going to get changed into my ghastly uniform. You can go eat some porridge in the kitchen, just do not eat Dean's porridge.

Dean is Eizabeth's older brother, he was just a year ahead of them in school, plus he is head boy, and goalie of the football team.

Emma went downstairs and found some porridge in the cabinet. Emma did not know if this was Dean's porridge or not. Emma did not care, she made the porridge and started to eat the porridge. Dean came downstairs and was nervous when he saw Emma.

Dean: I hope you know, you are eating my porridge.

Emma stopped eating the porridge

Emma: I am sorry! This is the only box I found and I didn't know if this one was yours!!

Dean chuckled: It is okay, it is just porridge.

Dean laughed again

Emma questioned: What is so funny?

Dean: Only a girl like you would apologize for eating someone's porridge. I think it is cute.

Emma rolled her eyes and finished the porridge. Elizabeth came down after five minutes of awkwardness between Emma and Dean. Elizabeth ate her breakfast, and by 7:20 they were ready to leave. Elizabeth, Dean, and Emma already were walking to school by 7:25. It takes fifteen minutes to walk to school from the Smith's house. Dean kept on walking close to Emma and Elizabeth which is very unusual.

Elizabeth whispered: Do you and Dean have something going on? Because he is watching you like an owl stalking his prey.

Emma: I ate his porridge on accident and he thought it was cute when I apologized.

Elizabeth laughed and Dean stopped looking at Emma.

They finally arrived at their school Rowling Abbey Academy. Dean scattered off to hang with the football blokes, Elizabeth and Emma rushed to hide in the library behind the metal bookshelves from the mean girls. The mean girls were called the Pretty Flowers. They were called the Pretty Flowers because the girls names are Poppy, Pansy, and Petunia.

Poppy came in the library with the other flowers. They came right next to Elizabeth and Emma behind the metal bookshelves.

Poppy snickered: Which one should we make a flower and which one should go to the ugly home?

Emma snarked: Leave us alone or we will tell the headmaster.

Pansy smirked: Go ahead she wouldn't believe that the Pretty Flowers would do such a thing.

The bell rang for class; before Emma and Elizabeth left the library, Petunia pushed Emma into a metal bookshelf. Emma got her head smashed into the books. The Flowers left and Elizabeth helped Emma up. Emma was okay but she thought she was hearing the thudding again.
