Y/N stared at the television screen with her brother, Armin in awe as the music awards unfolded in front of her eyes.
"Who do you think will win the best album?" Armin asked, breaking her away from her series of thoughts.
"No Name, of course" She replied, looking back again to the television screen.
"I don't think so." Armin said giving a non-chalant shrug.
"And why is that, may I know?" She glared at his direction, almost making him shiver.
"Listen. I know that you are their big fan girl but they have faults too. I dont wanna offend you or something but they used to make better music earlier than they do now." Armin muttered below his breath.
"And what makes you think so?" She replied, eyes fixed on the screen.
"You have to admit that after the lead singer, Levi Ackerman started drinking, they had a big fall in their quality of music." Armin said in a shaky tone, fearing for his life. "Dont kill me ok? I dont have insurance." He continued.
"Well.... After what you said, I am not sure." She said giving a chuckle. "Hey hey Armin, watch the TV."
Both of them turned their eyes back to the television.
The host had a slip of paper in her hand as she announced:
The best album of the year goes to:
Aesthetic by No Name
"Told you... They will win." She said, not moving her eyes from the television screen.
The lead singer of the band, Levi Ackerman dressed in a black suit, with his signature cravat on his neck and a white shirt hugging his chest while his hair designed in the form of an undercut, went up to the stage for taking the award, with a sullen expression followed by his band members.
"Thank you to everyone who have supported us, especially my band members and my fans. You all mean a lot to us." Saying this, he left the stage.
"That seemed quite forced, dont you think?" Armin asked.
"Yeah. God knows what's happening to him. He is not like that man who debuted 4 years back anymore." She sighed and looked at the clock ticking 8.30 pm. "Oh god,I will get late for work. I have to go now. Bye. See you later, Armin" Saying this as she was about to get up and leave for her work, she was stopped by Armin.
"Hey.. Umm... Annie said she wants me to come now. What should I do?" Armin muttered shyly.
"Then. Lets leave together. I will leave you there and use protection okay?" She said chuckling lowly.
"Hey, Its not always that!" Armin protested.
Both of them left their homes. Leaving Armin at Annie's place, she left for the bar where she was a singer.
Levi sat in his car, viewing the gray outcast clouds covering the sky in Trost city while Hanji, his friend and band member sat beside him, complaining on why she wasn't given the opportunity to speak in the awards.
"Tch. You realise that if you were given the mic, people wouldn't have gone home that day, don't you?" He said clicking his tongue.
"Levi, that's unfair. You literally said a single sentence." Hanji whined while Levi kept his gaze outside the window.
"Hey, four eyes, is there any liquor shop nearby?" He said turning his gaze back to the brunette women, sitting next to him.
"Levi you can't drink now. We have a flight in an hour." She complained but he ignored and shifted his gaze back on the window.
"Stop the car." He suddenly exclaimed.
"What?" Hanji yelled.
"Tch. Can't you hear it? I said stop the fucking car."
The car stopped by the side of the road. He took his face mask and wore it to avoid public recognition and stepped out of the car.
He stepped inside a bar on the opposite side of the street. On entering, his ears were greeted by the soft melody of a voice singing a song.
He turned his head to the source of the voice and saw a woman with a guitar hung on her neck, singing a melody. His gray intimidating eyes made a brief contact with her (e/c) ones as he made his way to the bartender.
"I wanna speak to this girl. When can I talk?" He asked the bartender.
"Her shift will end soon. You may speak to her then." The bartender sighed and started serving the drinks to his customers again. He looked like as if he was too tired with his job.
Levi saw her slowly exit the stage. He followed her to the backstage.
"Who are you?" She said, surprised seeing the intruder.
He slowly opened his mask and kept it on the table beside him.
"So you recognise me now, don't you?" He said in a hushed voice bringing his face closer to hers.
"It is a dream. It can't be real. Levi fucking Ackerman is standing in front of me. How on earth is this possible!" Thoughts filled her head as she internally screamed seeing the man in front of him.
"Big fan sir!" She shouted.
"Listen. You sing quite well. How about you come to our recording studio on Monday at 11am ?" He whispered, bringing his hands to his pocket and taking out a paper and scribbling something. "This is my personal number. Any problem, text me."
"Yes sir, I will."
"Good." Saying this he left the place. Her mouth gaped open when he saw the little paper in her hands. She was trembling in shock.
Did Levi Ackerman just give me his phone number? She was just waiting, when she would wake up from her dream. She pinched herself and shouted in happiness when she realised everything was after all, real.
Levi went back and sat in his car.
"Didn't you go to buy alcohol?" Hanji asked curiously.
"I went but found something else. Remember I told you that I was planning a duet? Well, so I found the lead singer. Only time will tell how good she is."
