"So what do you think of Wyatt? Pretty cute huh?" Hannah asked me as we swang gently back and forth on the school playground, goggling at the school wall-ball champion. My stomach got filled with butterflies just at the sight of his long legs and strong arms pumping as he hurled the ball the the side of the school. His light brown hair flipped in the wind and his big brown eyes sparkled... I caught myself from faceplanting the gravel, and blushed.
"Um, yeah, he's all right, I suppose.."I murmured, Hannah's crush on Wyatt was pretty darn obvious to the whole fourth grade, if I agreed with her on the fact that he was cute, then we might have World War Three on our hands, but if I disagreed..Then Hannah might lose confidence in her likings towards him. It was a tough position.
"Alright? Dude he's freaking gorgeous! If it wasn't obvious that you are in L-O-V-E with him, then I'd dibs him." She said matter-a-factly. My heart plummeted onto the pit of my stomach, and my cheeks grew hot.
"Whaaaaaat??? I don't love Wyatt, he's too, too, umm.." I struggled to think of somethinng he wasnt absolutely perfect at. i found nothing. He was perfect! And Hannah knew it.
"You DO like him! I knew it! muahahaa." She laughed maniacally, and swung her feet back and forth, gaining altitude in the swing. I blushed, and glanced at her.
"Fine, I do like him, but, you do too. I can see it, you like him just as much as I do." I said. He smile instantly faded. She skidded to a stop, and started hard at me.
