Maya's POV:

Its been about a week or two since we left home.

Lucas and I were currently on our last bus to Indiana.
I look over to him- asleep with his head against the window.

Man, I think, I love him so much.

-----

The bus finally stops, and I wake Lucas up.

"Lucas, we're here!" I say.
He opens his eyes slowly.

"Look. Were here." I say again.

He sits up, and smiles at me.

We get all of our stuff, and get off the bus.
Indiana was pretty. I liked New York better, but at least now we're away from our troubles.

-----

Once Lucas and I got off the bus, we started figuring out where we were headed next.

"Okay, Maya. Now we just need to get a hotel and then we'll figure everything else out then."
I nod and smile. I hold his hand, while we walk to find a hotel.

After a couple of hours, we finally find a hotel. We go in, and check out a room.
I sit on the bed and watch him unpack.

"Okay, so that was $80 to get here plus $30 worth of food we got on the way. The room was $90, so we have about $200 already. Great." He says.

Maybe I shouldn't have come with him. Maybe everything would've been cheaper if he wasn't paying for me.

"Sorry." I say quietly.

"For what?" he asks.

"Just...making the trip more expensive."

"Yeah, well I did tell you not to come." He says.

Whats gotten into him? He was fine a little bit ago. But I guess it's just got to him how much if a pain it is having me tag along.

"Look, I said I'm sorry. Okay? Its to late to turn back now so-"

"If its to late, then why did you even bring the subject up!" He yells.

I stand up. "Look, I was just trying to apologize, okay? If you want to yell at me for no reason, then I'm leaving."

"Where would you even go, Maya?"

"I don't know, okay? Just a walk."

"No- stay here." He demands.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because I don't want you out by yourself."

"So you don't want me here, then all of the sudden I cant even leave the hotel room?"

"Okay, fine Maya! Do whatever the heck you want! I don't really care, but if you get hurt, or anything, thats on you. I'm not going to do anything about it, because I tried to prevent it but you ignored me."

"Whatever." I say, and sit back on the bed.
