"You're fucked".

George turns to his friend.

"Shut the fuck up Alex".

A playful grin curls on Alex's lips.

"And wipe that stupid grin off your face. This is not funny".

George lets his face fall in his hands and groans loudly. "I'm fucked".

"That's what I said", Alex chuckles but he quickly stops as he sees the murderous look on George's face.

"Who even is she?".

"Lando Norris' girlfriend".

"Yeah no shit Sherlock, thanks for your obvious statement".

"We can easily find out tho".

"Alex don't you dare-".

"Hey Lando! Why don't you introduce us to your girlfriend?", Alex enthusiastically waves at Lando.

"I fucking hate you", George whispers underneath his breath.

How the hell is he supposed to act like nothing has happened. He apparently just met his soulmate and she has a boyfriend, one of his good mates.

Not to mention that he has a girlfriend.

Fuck.

He totally forgot about her for a second.

How in the world are they gonna do this? Just be honest or pretend it didn't happen?

There's no easy choice here. She clearly loves her boyfriend and he truly loves his girlfriend. This shit is messed up.

Lando's voice shakes him out of his thoughts.

"Hey guys, meet Hazel! Hazel these are my friends, George and Alex", Lando smiles brightly.

"H-Hi", she stutters as she hesitantly sticks her hand out for George to shake it.

George clears his throat. "Hey".

He looks at her as she starts a conversation with Alex.

She's wearing a baby blue top and some dark jeans. Her light brown wavy hair draped over her shoulders. Her eyes twinkle as she smiles and dimples appear on her cheeks.

She's gorgeous.

Lando's hand resting on her hip brings him back to reality though.

He sees colours now.

Because of her.

How is he gonna keep this a secret from his girlfriend? Should he keep it a secret?

George is scared.

Scared that she will break up with him when she finds out.

Scared of the idea he and Hazel are meant to be together.

He should stay away from her for now. It's for the best.

Just as he is about to walk away his girlfriend joins the group along with Charles and Charlotte.

"Hi baby", she smiles up at him before wrapping her arms around his torso. Her head resting against his chest, she's quite a bit smaller than him.

No you're just tall! She once told him after he teased her with being short.

He holds her tight and takes in the nice smell of her perfume. It's unfamiliar to him. "You got new perfume?". It smells like a field of flowers, sweet but not too sweet.

"Yes! Do you like it?". "Absolutely!".

"So you and Lando seeing colours yet?".

George looks up and his eyes meet Hazel's beautiful green ones. Just for a spilt second though, before she looks at Charlotte again.

Hazel sighs. "No we can't".

She can feel George's eyes burning on her.

Lando grabs her hand and squeezes it gently. "It will come", he sounds extremely confident.

If only he knew...

"Don't worry about it! It just takes a little longer for some couples", Charlotte ensures them.

"Me and George can't see colours yet either", Carmen sighs discouraged which makes Hazel feel even more guilty.

She feels like the ground is moving underneath her feet. Her head feels weird and fuzzy.

"Are you okay?", the voice sounds unclear, like she's under water.

She blinks a couple times to get a clear vision again looks straight into Lando's eyes. His beautiful blue eyes.

His mother tells her about his eyes all the time but she never expected them to be this bright and beautiful.

"Are you okay?", he asks again.

She wishes he wasn't so nice to her. It makes her feel so guilty. She can see his eye colour and she can't even tell him.

Should she tell him?

She's scared that he will break up with her once he finds out.

Out of all the guys in the world her soulmate turns out to be one of his best mates?

That's fucked up.

She don't think he would take it very well.

"Yeah I'm fine, just didn't drink enough water I guess".

Lando hands her her bottle. "Here".

Her hands shake as she takes the bottle from him.

Her eyes rest on George and Carmen for a split second.

She can't help but feel sorry for Carmen. Her boyfriend sees colours now and it's not because of her, poor girl.

Hazel tries not to think about it because the guilt is almost unbearable but it's all she can think about.

"Did you and Charles see colours right away?", she curiously looks at Monegasque couple standing in front of her.

Charles nods. "She walked in and the room lit up, quite literally", he chuckles before pressing a soft kiss on Charlotte's cheek.

"Oh my god that's so cute", Hazel looks at them in awe.

After nearly an hour of chatting and laughing they decides it's been enough.

The guys need to rest for the race tomorrow.

Back at the hotel Lando let himself  fall down onto the bed and buries his face in his pillow.

He knows.

It's the first thing that runs through Hazels mind.

Her heart rate spikes up.

Hazel is a terrible liar.

She can't let him show something's up, once he assumes something is going on and he asks her about it, she can't lie.

With her hand on her chest Hazel tries to get her heart rate down. She takes some deep breaths before sitting down next to Lando, who's still laying face down on the bed.

"Tell me what's on your mind baby", Hazel gently trails her nails over his back. That always calms him down when he's upset.

A pair of watery eyes look up at her.

"Will it ever come?", Lando sobs. A tear escapes from his eye. A tear he's been trying to hold in. Once the first water droplet slips, soon more follow. He didn't want Hazel to see him like this.

The person in front of her looks nothing like the confident guy that told her not to worry earlier that day.

The confident guy turned into a little boy, he looks so small and fragile as he softly sobs into Hazel's chest.

Her voice shakes as she answers him. "I don't know".

But she does.

It won't.
