4 Months Later

It wasn't long before I would escape out of prison, the Devil knew this, the Devil allowed it. Jason was my escapee, well rather my escape plan. He wasn't much of a talker, in fact he never spoke a word until now.

He never spoke, never so much as looked at me until today, he stared at me, he sat and stared and spoke a word;

Red.

A week later Jason spoke another couple of words with short pauses inbetween;

Eyes... Red... Eyes... Red.

It took me another week to decipher what he was on about. He saw me for who I really was, he saw the killer in me. Conradictory to my blue eyes, he could see a tinge of red in them-and that red represented the burning bloodlust that forever scorched in my eyes.

He learnt to speak another word over the period of time when we were planning our escape;

Distraction.

We recruit another person for our plan, for our distraction, his name didn't matter as I gave him the nickname Tracs, meaning distraction.

The day has come, the day for breakout-we wait for the guards to change over, we wait for them to be vulnerable-when they changed, all three of us ran at the guards-Tracs was leading therefore getting tazered and apprehended, all the attention was on him, our plan was in play now-leaving no guards in our way.

As we ran into the night, the shivering cold night, I decided to shove Jason into the depths of hell, to push him forth into the gateway that burned hotter than the sun, Death would not be so loving as She was to me, She would embrace Jason, Her grasp like razor blades.

As Jason stumbles and falls, his face turns from a look of freedom to an expression of betrayal, hatred even. He gets up and sprints at me, like a wave of adrenaline hit him, his face fastened with a look of animosity. I scamper with hot feet into a large warehouse big enough for my next showdown, with Jason.

He walks in calmly, the slightest hint that he is angry; his heavy breathing. All the adrenaline has settled, now permanently boiled in his blood, the adrenaline made him different, made him demonic, made him human.

I hid around the corner making sure The Demon didn't see me, if he had, I would have given up the only edge I had on him-the element of surprise. I rang Maria-oh, how relieved I was to hear her sweet and soothing voice-I told her to bring Raven to my location.

The Demon that took over Jason's body had started talking, taunting, almost ranting, he talked of betrayal, trust, and even, to an extent; justice.

"Justice, we all need justice in this world, this is my turn to get even with the system." I heard him scream with all his might whilst peering around a corner, just a few more corners and he would reach me, Maria better get here quick.

"Let's play a game of hide and seek, with just a few rule changes, when I find you, I, will kill you" The Demon said in a tone filled to the brim with hatred.

"You know, someone said those exact words to me, and guess what, I gutted them like a fish" I said giving away my position knowing full well that Maria was very close to my location. I hoped he didn't call my bluff.

As he turns the second to last corner to where I am hidden my phone rings pulling him away from where he was originally going to where I was sitting-by the escape door, my escape route, just a few feet from where Maria was meeting me.

He looks at me as if to say: I have got you now, I am going to slaughter you brutally, as a wide grin appears upon his face I bolt out the escape door, disappearing into the misty night sky. He follows after me, hot on my heels like a rabid canine.

I race to the Jeep-vaulting over a few rocks here and there-I shove my arm into the to car boot reaching in blindly, where is She? Why isn't She here? Why didn't Maria bring Her. I look backwards, Jason was barreling towards me like the front row of a rugby team. I reach in one more time and I find Her, I had found Her just in time.

I clasp my hands around her and swing with the strength of a dozen lions, burying Her blade into his adrenaline soaked flesh. Jason was no more. I pour gasoline over Raven's blade, setting her alight I hack away at the dead body several times.

My clothes are laced with a damp sweat as I watched the body burn into ash, into nothing, I watched on, for what felt like hours with an ear-to-ear grin, it started to hurt my face muscles for smiling that long. "Add another to the body count" I thought as I grinned once more.

Maria and I drive home, my clothes torn, what an awful mix-I smelt of gasoline and death, the two worst smells in the world, but, I have grown to love it, maybe because I am insane. But aren't we all a little insane sometimes?

Maria was heavily pregnant, I was dreading the day when he would come into this world and be called upon by The Devil, to be summoned. It was my worst nightmare coming alive.

He was going to be the Devil's lap dog, he was going to be;

The Devil's Apprentice.
