Someone had noticed we were gone, and that someone had come looking for us-I hear very light footsteps, those of the 'intruder'. Alex and I were darting around making sure that we could not be seen, nor heard.

Alex punches the air creating a ball of blue and violet coloured fire, burning hotter than before. Maybe because her animosity and anguish shone through more than ever. We only use it as a light source so we don't trip and give away our position.

The 'intruder' makes his way to us, slowly but surely, his footsteps getting louder and louder, more harsh with each step. "Funny, the 'intruder' isn't bumping and crashing about like we are, they must know the room and what's inside" I think in curiousity.

"Come out, come out wherever you are, kids aren't supposed to be running around in places they don't know, so, come along children, don't let me drag you out." The 'intruder' screeches, his voice harsh and deep, it was similar to the voice when I first arrived at the house... In fact it was the voice from when I entered this house. And now it was seeking us out.

I grasp Raven, the hand-me-down scythe. Raven was my father's companion and now, She is my companion, She will help me in my battles. I slowly walk up to the 'intruder' making sure that my footsteps aren't heard.

When I get behind the 'intruder' I take Raven out and extend her to full size-as she was compressed into my bandolier-I shove the blade under the 'intruder's' throat, the 'intruder' turns around and stares at me with its pale blue eyes. A fleet of five dark figures stalk out of the even darker warehouse, only their burning white eyes shone and created a light source throught the entire warehouse, the fleet all smile at the same time, their teeth sharp and as white as the girl from a dentist commercial.

The 'intruder' was a man, in fact it was The Boss, "But how was his voice like that? How was his voice that creepy? Was it him when I first arrived here? Did...did others here the same voice as me?" Once again all these questions filled my mind, giving me another headache.

"I told you, you shouldn't be lurking around in someone's house, you never know what your going to find." He said, his voice back to normal, back to his deep, scratchy voice. "Now, what did you and Alex find...anything interesting, hmmm? You must have found something interesting in this room?" The fleet of figures standing there, still smiling, still waiting... For something.

He gestures towards the sack, I take one of the shelf and put my shirt over my face-to cover my nose from that awful stench. Whilst I am pulling the sack open I think: "he wasn't an intruder at all, this is his house."

He gestures me to pull out the context of the small woven duffel sack, I nod and do as I am told-as I do not want to infuriate him anymore than he is, although his voice and face seemed calm. More than calm, relaxed.

As I put my hand in the bag and search for something to grapple onto in there The Boss's expression turns from a calm warm look, to a twisted insane smile, his eyes turning from a pale blue to a sunset orange, burning within him, his manic side took over and left the low-key affable person to perish. As his face turns twisted, so do the figure's faces, their smile creeping wider and wider with each passing second

I open the sack labelled#271596 and take out the skull sized lump and look at it. "It was a human head, a human head. That's why it was shaped like a skull." I thought whilst staring at The Boss's crazed face. Thousands more sat on the shelves that surround me, it was disturbing yet it didn't surprise me. The head was of a girl. She looked extremely familiar, like I knew her well. Then I remembered who she was.

Heather, my ex girlfriend, the figures all clap and cheer as if they know who she was to me. The Boss's face turned from the twisted manic expression to a sad look, almost sympathetic.

The figures crawl back into the darkness as if to leave me alone, to leave me in peace, more like pieces! they disappear into the dark room, who knows where they went, but wherever they went, good riddance, they were starting to creep me out, I know for sure Alex was already freaked out the second she laid eyes on those beasts.
