Chapter seven;

William's POV

*Drip* *Drip*

My head was pounding tremendously, a head ache firmly there after the blow I had taken to my head thanks to Vladimir. I could hear dripping, as if a faucet had this annoying leak to it. My eyes were heavy, so because of that heaviness, I couldn't will my eyes open. I could feel that I was under ground, it was cold and clammy, everything seemed to be moist. I was sitting against a steel wall, my back damp from the moisture, my hands were chained up as if I were in a dungeon. Do those even exist anymore?

A low grunt had sounded from right across from me, my eyes snapping open to a very dimly lit dungeon and another guy sitting across from me, now just waking up. By the looks of it, he had to have been taken by Vladimir's followers. Well damn he is going to have a serious head ache when he fully comes too.

My eyes looked over him and I sniffed the air only to freeze up. Aside from the nasty sewage water smell, the other scent I had caught was this guys scent and he was no ordinary guy..This was Caden Akonda..of the Akonda pack..where my Anastasia is staying. Part of me wanted to growl lowly at him for taking my Ana but another part of me knew that the only reason he would be trying to get close to Ana is because, he has to be her mate..A small whimper sounded from me accidently, I didn't want it to be true but it most likely is true. Little does he know that there lies a profecy behind Anastasia's history.

I let go of a sigh but then perked up when I heard Caden mumble profanities under his breath. I gave a small chuckle and shook my head, yup he's got that head ache. Caden's growl shocked me, and even angered me slightly. I met his gaze, Caden looked up at my bound hands then stopped his growling knowing that I was stuck just like he was so there was no point in staying angry for no reason at all.

"How the hell did we get stuck here?" he asked. I chuckled.

"Vladimir most likely for you but I definetly know he trapped me here." I said simply. Caden growled again but not at me, at the mention of Vladimir's name.

"He better not touch Anastasia! I'll kill him when I get free!" He growled and my eyes widened..That protectiveness in his voice just answered my worries..he is her mate.

"How do you know Anastasia?" I asked, although I already knew the answer.

"She is my mate, even though she doesnt want to accept it yet." he said with a sad tone then spoke up, "How do you know Ana? and whats your name? I'm Caden."

"My name's William" I said and just as I had said my name, all the color drained from his face but soon was replaced by full force anger, "YOU ARE THAT FUCKING LIAM GUY!! ANA IS MINE! NOT YOURS!" Caden growled at me and I growled back.

"SHE ISNT YOURS!! SHE HAS BEEN MINE SINCE SHE WAS A BABY!!" I growled at him. Caden's face fell and his eyes widened at what I had said..opps. I held a hard look in my eyes then slumbed back into the wall, all of a sudden exhausted. It was quiet for a while until Caden spoke yet again.

"Who are you? and Who is Ana?" he asked. I looked at him in disbelief but then sighed and shook my head, well I opened my big mouth already, guess I need to explain everything. With another sigh I looked at him.

"My name is William Granger, or as Ana calls me, Liam. I was her appointed protector, when she was born. Her mother had died months after Ana's birth and her father couldn't live without his mate, his lover, his wife so he had killed himself..Leaving Ana's brother Kyle to be Alpha. Kyle had been Alpha up until Ana's tenth birthday, he died that day fighting to protect Ana from some rogue wolves who had gotten into the Litonya-Granger pack. They were sent by someone to kill Anastasia but Kyle wouldn't have it because if Ana was killed then the profecy would die and that couldnt happen." I explained.

"What profecy?" Caden asked.

"Our wolf society is seculded, you know that and I know that, everyone who can shift into a wolf knows that we are seculded, that the humans want nothing to do with us because they fear us, they fear we will capture them as slaves but we all of the wolf society knows thats against law. Well the Litonya-Granger Profecy tells of the first Litonya-Granger born daughter, who bares one child with her true mate and bares a second child...with her protector. The two children bared would be sent into human territory at the age of ten to make peace with the humans so that we could all exist as one but if this profecy doesn't happen...then we risk going to war with the humans, creating a blood bath that can be avoided. Anastasia is the only born daughter to our pack, and I failed to protect her..because now, she has no recollection of who I am, and she doesn't want to accept you as her mate." I had finished explaining.

Caden looked angry, sad, worried and a bunch more emotions that were flashing very quickly through his eyes. I knew he didn't want to share his mate, what male wolf would want to do that? but Ana was no ordinary girl, she and her offspring were the ones who put this fued between the humans and us wolves to rest.

"Why didn't you protect her?" Caden asked through clenched teeth. I sighed and looked down.

"There was an attack planned by the Chogan's..They knew of the profecy and wanted desperately to go to war with the humans..because the Chogan's believe that we  wolves are superior over the humans but, all most of us wolves want is peace. Well they weren't going to have that happen, so a plan was executed..Kill me..and Ana..then the profecy wouldn't come true. Ana and I were heading into the woods, she wanted to show me the springs she had found..at the time she was 10 and I was 16. I always raced her, letting her get ahead of me so she would win and have fun..well she was at the forests edge when I was attacked by Alexander, he was in his wolf form and had wounded me badly. Ana was witness to the attack and I had pleaded for her to run, she eventually did running into the woods and Alexander went after her. I knew I was going to die, I was bleeding to fast and my wolf could heal everything but to my luck, a doctor, Vanessa is her name, she had shown up, she was going camping in the woods when she found me. I was close to death but some how she managed to rush me to the hospital where they preformed surgery repairing some of the damage but then had me flown to a hospital in England, where they finished off the surgery reparing the damages done to my shoulder, ribs, abdomen..I had to have a year of physical therapy, learn to use my arm again, awaken the nerves. Vanessa was with me the entire time, I had developed some feelings for her, she a human figured out what I truly was and still stayed with me through out my therapy but I care for Ana and I dont think Vanessa would be okay with the profecy..So after a year of therapy, I left England came back to the states in search for Anastasia when I found her again she was 12 years old and apparently there was an accident that caused her to lose her memory...Alexander and Vladimir were using her as a sexual toy and I wanted to rip their heads off but I was supposed to be dead and I couldn't risk Ana getting hurt..so I kept a close eye on her, sneaking into the Akonda house to lay with her at night, be close to her...when she was 14 and Alexander had been put to death, I was going to take Ana then but Vladimir had disappeared with her and he had masked their scents so I had lost her once again...its been 4 years that I've been searching non stop for her..and now that I've found her..she has no memory, is guarded, and has two little boys..." I said explaining why I wasn't around for so long. I sighed, pain filling my chest.

My Anastasia had suffered so much, and I have blamed myself for all of her suffering. Oh how I miss my Anastasia..but I also miss Vanessa..how can this be?

Sorry its short, but I wanted to get this out, since there is probably confusion about what William's purpose is in this story. Well its been answered!! Sorry there is no Anastasia but there will be in the next chapter.
