1. Thats a Plan in a half

Me, Teddy and Chris all sat in the treehouse hanging out, teddy and Chris playing cards and me, watching from the window seat taking a drag.

"you wanna join Y/N?" Chris asked.
"nah i'm fine" i said declining his offer.

i don't like playing cards often because it's boring and sometimes Teddy gets competitive.

knock knock bang knock!!
we heard the floor go.
"it's Gordie!" yelled Gordie from under us.
i stood from my seat, pushing teddy forward to move the table.
"ow" teddy said grabbing his head after i slapped him.
"you where in my way teddy" i said stepping past him and opening the door to let Gordie in.

" hey gordie!" i said stepping back and sitting beside chris.
gordie sits in my spot i sat in, before i let gordie in.
"hey" he said joining in with cards.

"y/n you wanna come sit here." teddy asked patting his lap.

"no thanks Duchamp" i said sarcastically.

"ok...but the offer forever stands."

" hey, how do you know a french men's been in your backyard?" Chris asked.

"hey! i'm french, okay" teddy said eyeing him.

" your trash cans are empty and your dogs pregnant" Chris said.
Me, Chris and Gordie all laughed.

"didn't i say i was french" teddy said not impressed by Chris's humour.

knock! " i knock" Chris said taking a drag of his cigarette.

"shit" teddy whisperd to himself.
"29!" Chris says with a smirk impressed with himself.

"22" teddy says disappointed placing his cards down.

"piss on the road" Gordie says slamming his cards down and grabbing a comic from behind him.

Chris an Teddy burst into uncontrollable laughter.

" oh gordie just bit the bag and stepped out the door!!" teddy said in-between laughs.

i zoned out staring at the wall until i heard teddy. " a pile of shit has a thousand eyes" he said.
i laughed then Chris and Gordie joined in.

knock

"that's not the secret knock" i said not taking my eyes off away from my book

"well idk the secret knock" i heard vern say.
" vern " we all said.

Chris let him in. Vern started rambling about something idk what.

"i ran all the way from my house" that's all vern had to say for us to start teasing

eventually Vern got his words out.
"wanna come camp out in my back field?" asked vern.
"i'll see if i can" i replied.

-1 minute skip-

"wanna go see a dead body?" asked vern gaining our attention.
i looked up in surprise. we all knew who he was talking about, ray brower had gotten lost while picking blueberries a few days ago and no one had seen him since.

"i know the back Carlow road, it leads to a dead end near the royal river. The train tracks are right there. Me and my dad used to fish for cozzies back there."
exclaimed Teddy.

"jesus christ man, if they had known you were under there , they would have killed you." Said Chris to Vern.
" he must have been hit by the train back there" i said
"el smacko" teddy said .

"if we find him we'll get our pictures in the paper." Chris said excited.
" yeah we can even be on tv"
"sure "
"we'll be hero's"

"i don't k ow, Billy will know i found out." vern said less enthusiastic.
"he's not gonna care, because it's gonna be us guys that find him, not billy and Charlie and there boosted car. "
Gordie said.

"what will we tell our parents." I asked.
"exactly what vern said, we'll all tell our
folks were camping out in Verns back field, and Vern u tell your parents you staying at Teddy's." Gordie said.

"were free till tomorrow evening!" i said enthusiastically.

"That's a Plan"They exclaimed.

Teddy turned to me. " what do ya say y/n" teddy said coming closer.

"y/n" they all said stretching out the end of my name.

they jumped on my as i fell back. Teddy on the bottom and the boys on top of him.
"Fine!" i yelled laughing.
