On Your Own (A TodoBakuDeku Story)

Chapter 5

Rens POV

'' I've got this, just smile and everything will be okay, that's how it works, right? ". I slowly walked to the girls change room dreading the fact that I'm going to be changing under watchful eyes. '' Just smile, and no one will know " I thought pushing the door open. All eyes turned towards me, I really wanted to look down at my feet, but they'd suspect some things wrong and I can't have that, not at all.

I continued pushing forward, scrambling to get to the far corner of the room. Upon my arrival I quickly toke off my shirt and slipped on the green sleeveless dress. The dress was a light forest green color, it was skin tight for the top half but nice and flowy at the bottom allowing mobility. It went a little bit past me knees, at the bottom it was in strips so I wasn't restricted. I could also rip off the strips to tend to someone's wounds.

I looked back to the black case that holds my hero costume and took out the dark green booty shorts, I'm not to fond of how short they are but it will have to do, let's just hope no one notices my injuries, I'll cross my fingers and hope. Having finished my inner monoulge I put on the shorts. I winced slightly as they dug into my wounds, I think some of them reopened. I'm going to have to ask for a different pair of shorts, wait I paused in relazation I can't do that without having a reason why, what am I supposed to say, hey can you change my shorts cause there digging into my cuts, like that will end  well. I'll just have to deal with the pain, I'll be fine I'm used to it after all with my home life and everything.

I toke a deep breath and went back to the case. Only four things remained my black Cape, my utility belt, my wrist guards, and my black combat boots. I toke off my sneakers and put them into my assigned locker, I then slipped my boots on, my dark green wrist guards following soon after.

I reached out for the utility belt, calmness spreading threw my entire body at the relief of not being defenseless any more with what's in this belt I can protect my self with. I securely clipped it around my me making sure It was snug on my waist. One more thing to go I thought, grabbing my Cape and putting it on. After I finished I bolted out of the room, everyone else giving me confused looks. Hopefully they'll just brush it off as nothing I thought taking deep breaths to try and quiet down my own heartbeat.

Just calm down they don't know, she can't hurt you here, your safe just breathe I told myself not realizing I said that out loud and someone was ease dropping.
