Chapter 2 **Unexpected**

It has been a week since what happened with Marinette and Lila got exposed. Lila has not come to school since then and Marinette is doing much better with her life. (i forgot to mention they are 16 in this. they are juniors) 

"Okay class listen up!" Ms. Bustier claps her hands as she walks into the classroom. The class starts to quiet down. "Today we have a new student! Her name is Zoe." Marinette starts to feel confused. She whispers to herself, "why does that name sound so familiar." Zoe walks in. She has blonde hair with a pink streak. Chloe and Marinette both look up stunned. "Hi I am Zoe Bourgeois. I am from-" Zoe notices Chloe and Marinette. "Mari? Chloe?" Alya looks at Marinette. "You know the new girl Mari?" Marinette gets up from her seat and runs to hug Zoe. Chloe just stares at the two. Zoe also notices Adrien. "Adrien you too?" Adrien smiles. "Hi Zoe." Ms. Bustier interrupts. "So how do you all know each other?" Marinette smiles a bit. "Well before Chloe's mom left for New York, Me, Zoe and Chloe were all best friends. Then Zoe moved away with her mom. I remember also hanging out with a blonde boy but I forgot his name heh." Chloe and Zoe stare at her blinking like she's an idiot. Zoe starts to laugh. "Mari, you do know Adrien is that boy right? You two were such best friends." Marinette and Adrien start to look at each other. Adrien and Marinette are both shocked along with the class. "Why the hell didnt we recognize each other?!" The two say in unison. 
~At Lunch~
"Sooo Marinette. That was unexpected." Alya had said to Marinette as she sat down next to Mari. Marinette nods still unsure about what just happened. The boy she is crazy in love with was her childhood best friend. Zoe comes over to sit with Mari and Alya. "Hey I'm Alya, Marinette's BEST friend." Zoe smiles weakly. "I-i'm Zoe." Marinette shakes her head. Nino and Adrien comes over to sit with the girls. Things are a bit awkward with Marinette and Adrien. Juleka, Mylene, Rose, Alix and Sabrina were sitting at the table next to them staring at Marinette and Adrien. "They are made for each other!" Rose says a little too loud making the two look up. Zoe starts to smirk. "They sure are~" Marinette glares at Zoe. Adrien, Nino and Alya start to laugh. "Just like when we were younger." Adrien says still laughing. Alya stops laughing. "I still cant believe you and Chloe were best friends Marinette!" "Oh shut up Alya" Marinette laughs until she stops laughing with the sight of someone with teal and black hair. "Hey Juleka you forgot your-" Luka goes over to Juleka's table with her phone in his hand. He sees Marinette. "Hey..Mari.." Marinette looks down. "Hey.." Zoe looks at the two. "Hey what's up with them?" Adrien looks over at Zoe with an awkward look. "They used to date. Marinette dumped him. We still are not sure what secrets she had to keep from him or what exactly happened." "Oh.. I see." Marinette gets up out of her seat trying to walk away. Luka grabs her arm and Marinette looks back at him. "L-luka.. i'm sor-" Luka hugs her. "It's fine Marinette. It's clear you still love Ad-" Marinette breaks the hug and covers his mouth. Zoe starts to smirk knowing he was gonna say Adrien. She shoots Adrien with a look. Adrien seems confused as hell. As she covers his mouth she starts to fake smile at her friends. "Luka CLEARLY doesnt know what hes talking about" Marinette glares at him. Adrien looks down. "She is in love with someone?" Adrien had developed feelings for Marinette over the past few years. "Dude I just realized something. I thought Chloe was your only friend when you were younger?" Adrien looks up at Nino. "Well I forgot about Zoe and Marinette." Zoe looks at Adrien. "I.Am.Offended" Marinette sits back down between Alya and Zoe. All of a sudden a big commotion happens right outside the cafeteria.
