To say Hope wasn't sure exactly who she was to Lizzie was a huge understatement. Half a year ago, Hope and Lizzie had been bitter rivals. But now, they were more like close best friends. In terms of how close they were, the two girls were like sisters. But that's not what Hope wanted. Not since they'd almost kissed in the grass all those many weeks ago.

There was a knock at the door. "Hope? Are you ready? It's almost time to go." came Lizzie's voice from the other side of the door.
"Speak of the actual Devil," Hope said with a laugh, quoting something Lizzie had said when referring to the tribrid a year ago.
"Yeah. I just have to grab my purse. Be right out." Hope grabbed her purse and was about to head out the door when she walked over to her bulletin board and whispered to the sonogram picture, "See you in a bit." and went to see Lizzie.

"What took so long?" Lizzie asked. "Oh, I just lost my purse and had to find it," Hope replied, hoping Lizzie would drop it, which thankfully she did.

At this sonogram. Lizzie teared up and to be honest, so did Hope, which is something Lizzie didn't expect. But one thing that surprised her, even more, was the fact that during this one, as soon as the baby came on the monitor, Hope grabbed her hand and didn't let go the entire time. Lizzie didn't say anything about it though because she didn't want Hope to let go. The girls went for ice cream again but this time there was no ice cream flinging, just talking and laughing. Lizzie honestly wasn't sure what Hope was going to end up being to the baby.

It didn't bother her though. Anything Hope wanted to be would be fine with Lizzie. When they got back, Josie was heading out to lunch again. "Hey, guys. You go out for more ice cream?" Jo asked. "Yeah. It was delicious." Lizzie took Hope's hand, thanking her silently. "Well, bye guys! I'm off to lunch!" Josie said cheerfully. Then she added, looking at Lizzie's stomach, "And goodbye to you too!"

Lizzie grabbed her sister's wrist, yanking her into the nearest empty classroom. Hope locked the door behind them.
"How did you know?" Lizzie hissed.
"Well, it's not like you're a top-secret spy or anything. And don't pretend you haven't been hanging out with Hope and getting closer to her since you slept with Rafael. No offense Hope, but your mom was technically a single mother too. How are you going to do this? Are you going to do it? Is the baby a boy or a girl?"

"Well, first of all, I have Hope. She's been helping me pay for the sonograms and she's been going with me for support. Second of all, I have no idea the gender of the baby. Haven't you noticed that there's a suspicious amount of time between us getting ice cream together?" Lizzie was getting worked up now and Josie for once didn't know how to respond. Hope stepped in and gave Lizzie a comforting hug. Lizzie sniffled and took Hope's hand again.

"I've been helping Lizzie with pretty much everything," Hope said. "We're gonna start decorating the baby's part of our room if that's okay with you, Jo." "Of course! Anything you need, Lizzie!"

Josie was taking this very well. Lizzie thanked her lucky stars that Josie was the easygoing twin.

"Do you want to help pick out decorations with us? We were thinking of going to the store after the next sonogram?" Hope asked.
"Of course! It'll be so much fun! I can't wait!" Josie told Hope and Lizzie.
