Nathaniel anxiously paced back and forth in the living room. His dear Omegan boyfriend right now was giving birth to their daughter, and the midwife Lia, was there to help him. However the expecting father simply just wanted to be there for his Omega.

Every scream he gave made Nathaniel more nervous and worried by the minute, and he wished he was there to comfort him. He would be there by Marc's side, holding his hand, telling him that everything would be alright. He would also be hugging his rounded belly, checking to see if their sweet daughter was alright. Nathaniel was not only worried for his Omega, but for his daughter as well. He wanted his baby girl to be born happy and healthy, and as a first-time father, he wanted the birth to go well.

"What if the baby doesn't make it?" He said worriedly, his imagination for once flying off the handle and getting the best of him. "What if Marc can't handle it and doesn't make it?"

Nathaniel had heard from a friend that his wife didn't make it due to the birth being too hard for her body. He definitely didn't want that to happen to his Omega. To his Marc.

They had been through too much together and this was something that Ladybug or Chat Noir could not help them with. Their own miraculous' back in the safety of the Guardian's hands but they'd been told that they would be called upon if they were ever needed.

Nathaniel sat down on the couch and sighed. His mind was so flustered that it boggled from topic to topic but it always came back to what was happening right now inside their bedroom. It was his first time "experiencing" his Marc giving birth. He was so nervous. He hoped that his beloved was alright.

Nathaniel felt like it wasn't fair for fathers to sit out on the birth. They just had to sit and wait all the while listening to their mates' screaming in pain. Nathaniel actually wanted to experience Marc giving birth, not just sit out on it. He felt like it wasn't fair enough to just do nothing when Marc had to go through labor for hours, waiting for their little girl to be born. He knew that it was done for safety because some Alpha's couldn't control themselves when their mate's were in pain, and he had to admit it was hard in some spots to keep himself from going feral.

But that didn't change the fact that he actually wanted to make his Omega feel a little better than what he was right now. Right now Marc was in awful pain, screaming when he had a contraction coming. If Nathaniel was right there by his side, then he would show that he could make the birth worthy enough. Husbands and wives, mates and partners are made to be there for each other. He just didn't understand why the rules didn't allow husbands to be there with their Omega's giving birth, if they had control over their instincts. It just wasn't right to him.

Nathaniel looked at his and Marc's bedroom door. The screaming had died down.

'Maybe the contraction is over' Nathaniel thought to himself.

Even though the contraction was over, he would have to go through another one soon.

Poor Marc.

Bored and frustrated, Nathaniel got up from the couch and walked over to the nursery which was nestled in the room next door to their own. The nursery was beautifully created, with the walls painted pale pink, a cute rocking chair, a window with cream curtains, a pink rug next to a white baby cradle, a beautiful wooden toy box, and other cute things that were needed for this little nursery all curtacy of their best friends, Alix and Marinette.
