Resaman and Ritika stand outside the campus building chatting while Harry went to pick up Aiden from his flat. The boys pull up in a hippy looking Volkswagen Bus. "That's a pretty cool ride." says Resaman, " This thing pfft, it's old. Bought it a few years back," says Harry blushing and nodding nonchalantly.
Aiden and Ritika put all the bags and essentials in the trunk and sat together in the back. That leaves a Resaman a seat next to Harry in the front. She thinks that it would be a good opportunity to strike up a conversation with him and get to know him better. She enters and buckles up. " You can pick a song to play," says Harry and hands her his phone. Resaman smiles and scores through the playlist and plays "Something Just Like This" by Coldplay. "You like Coldplay?" asks Ritika. "Yeah they are one of my favourite bands, I also went to their concert once. And this song is one of my favourites as well", she replies. "Oh, that's so cool, even Harry loves Coldplay." Okay, they have something in common to talk about. She can't believe she has her first crush, that too on Harry. The day she saw him across that hallway she knew she got to know him more. Maybe it was a little cheesy. But yeah it was worth a try. She doesn't even know if he's single. Well, this trip is a great opportunity to do some digging. Resaman leans to the window side and enjoys the view and sinks into the music. Harry looks over and continues to drive.

They reach this beautiful and small campsite. The campsite is beside a beautiful lake with tall trees sprawling on both sides of the lake. There is enough space to set up two tents and in the middle lay a small firepit. Resaman walked towards the shore of the lake to enjoy the sunset, and as she turned she watched the guys set up the tent in vain. She laughed and walked towards them and says, " Come on guys, I'll help you out, I know how to set up a tent" " Well, you and Harry set up this tent, Ritika and I will go get started on that fire", replies Aiden. Harry asks, " Are you sure you can do it?", " Oh just give me the parts, I'll show you," replies Resaman.
" So do you go camping back in India?", asks Harry." Yeah sometimes with a few of my friends during our winter break," she replied. They successfully manage to set up the frame for the tent, Resaman dusts her hand and says," Hah! I told you I knew how to set up a tent." Harry rolls his eyes and replies, " Even I could've done it, but it would've taken more time", she smirks and then goes on to pick up the flysheet to attach it to the frame. " Harry could you step inside the frame and hold the sheet up while I fasten it to the frame," she asks. Harry nods and steps inside.
Resaman starts fastening the sheet to the frame while Harry stood there. She reaches the top middle portion of the tent where Harry stood. She suddenly became very much aware of the lack of space between them and feels a little breathless.
The moment truly felt like a scene from a cliche rom-com, she had to stifle her giggle and at the moment she noticed Harry's piercing green eyes look at her amused. "What's so funny?" he asks with a childish annoyance, "Nothing", she replied giggling. "We have to finish building this tent fast otherwise it will take forever," Resaman says. "Okay, let's get this over with", he replies.

The group huddled over the fireplace in the centre of the campsite. Ritika passed sticks of S'mores among the group. "How do you like the camp so far?" Aiden asks Resaman. " It's really nice, the spot is really beautiful," she replies. "Thanks for tagging along for the weekend", says Vanessa. Vanessa and Alessia were Ritika's other two friends who she said were also coming for the trip. Vanessa is an Astronomy major like Aiden, and that was how Ritika even met Aiden. Alessia is an old friend of Ritika from back in school, they lost touch when Alessia moved to London, but they reconnected when Ritika herself moved to London.
The girls talked to Resaman about all the must-see spots and activities that people do around here. They all agreed to cycle on the bicycle trail near the campsite. So far she was quite comfortable with everyone and she felt welcomed in this small group. But yeah she hasn't been able to speak to Harry more comfortably since setting up the tents, and just like that an opportunity fell just like that, " Guys, I'm gonna take a short stroll along the bank of the river before I hit the tent, anyone care to join?" Harry asks the group. They turned down the offer as they felt a little tired, and Ritika and Aiden wanted to spend the time together, so Resaman said she'll join him.
They walk side by side in silence. There's this awkward tension building up, so she decides to break the silence and asks, " What do you like to do in your free time?". " Well I like to paint, cook, I do bake quite often and also occasionally write songs", he replies. She's now pretty impressed and replies, "That's actually pretty cool, you don't seem like a guy who does all that. You'll have to bake me something to prove that you're not bluffing", He smiles and asks," What kind of a guy do you think I am?" with a little emphasis on the "you". " Well I thought you might be one of those frat boys who's always partying, fooling around with girls and getting in trouble.", she says with a straight face. " Wow, look at your smug face. You said all that with no hesitation. I do go to parties and all, but I'm not a jerk.", he replies seemingly annoyed. "Hey, I was just pulling your leg", she replies feeling nervous. "Hey, I was joking too, it's all chill", he replies with a smug smile. She playfully punches his arm," You had me there for a second".

It was a very nice walk just the two of them. They talked for a long time, talking about what they liked and disliked and a whole lot of other topics. They decided to exchange phone numbers and followed each other on socials. She felt happy that she took the opportunity to get to know him. The morning after that the girls went on a bike ride on the trail, with the guys following them on the trail. They all went to the beautiful lake nearby and swam and took plenty of photos. Ritika had brought her polaroid camera and started clicking pictures of the group. She saw Resaman and Harry sitting together at the lakeshore chatting. She clicked a picture of them and went towards them, " Hey guys look at this" and gives the photo to Resaman, " Oh wow it's a really cute photo, you're really good at this.", Resaman replies. Harry takes a look at the photo and blushes and replies nodding," Um, yeah it's nice."

The group packs their stuff and heads to their minibus. Alessia and Vanessa say their goodbyes and head out first as they live a little far from the campsite. Before heading to the bus, Harry approaches Ritika and asks, " Hey, can you give me the photo you took back at the lake?", Ritika looks at him with suspicion and asks, " Why? Oh my god, do you like Resaman?". " Woah, Woah don't jump the gun, I just liked it. Anyway, I'm in it arent I? So I can ask for it.", he replies with his face as red as a beet. " You don't have to get all defensive, but it is pretty funny to watch.", she replies. She opens her duffel bag, and searches through and picks up the photo, " Here you go", she says. "Thanks and no I wasn't getting defensive.", he replies. " Whatever you say, Harry," she replies laughing.
