“Thanks for being a dear and bringing the boxes in.” Taylor smiled at Ed, whose face was now red and beaded with sweat as she placed her pursed down on a nearby table.

Ed pushed the last of the boxes in, closed the door behind him and leaned on the stacked boxes. “Glad I could help, ma’am. All in a day’s work.” Ed faked an accent as he tipped his imaginary hat.

Karlie stretched her arms and plopped down on the scratched-up sofa. “Oooh. Peppa Pig’s on right now!” She yipped excitedly after glancing at her watch.

“So I guess you put this thing here, and the other there and you’ve got a lamp?” Ed scratched his head, eyeing the instructions sheet.

Taylor walked over and looked at the sheet, scrunching up her nose in confusion. “I guess so. Karlie's the expert when it comes to stuff like this. See this whole room? 70% Karlie-made.”

Karlie raised a thumbs-up in approval, her back to theirs as she sang along happily to the theme song of ‘Peppa Pig’.

Ed was still figuring things out, Taylor was currently looking for Olivia and Karlie was paying attentively to the television when suddenly, ‘Baby Got Back’ started playing.

Karlie whipped her head back to see an embrassed Ed hurriedly fumbling for his phone in his pocket before declining the call.

“N’awww. That’s my jam!” Karlie cracked up as Ed smiled cheekily and loosened up.

“Olivia, no!” Taylor ran after the cat, appearing through the doorway that led to the kitchen.

Too late, Olivia ran around the living room, waking up the beast that is Mer and started an all-out goose chase.

“There goes the last kitty ornament.” Taylor sighed as Meredith’s fluffy tail swept the glass ornament off the tree, causing it to shatter into a million pieces.

Karlie scooped Olivia up to stop the frenzy. “There there, little polar bear.” She pet her and fed her cat treats, which she very much appreciated.

“I like big butts and I cannot lie.” The phone rang again and Taylor’s eyes shot up from cleaning up the  broken ornament.

“That’s my jam!” Taylor screamed out of excitement.

“It’s our jam.” Karlie corrected and helped her clean up the broken pieces, laughing until Ed answered the phone.

“Ollo.” He bellowed into the phone. “What? You mean now? Alrighty. I’ll be there in a fewy.” He hung up the phone.

He went to hug them both. “I bid thou farewell, for the Royal Highness is in need of my services.” Ed bowed and kissed both their hands.

“Farewell, good knight.” Karlie called out as Ed closed the door shut behind him, whistling out a tune as he started down the hallway.

“So what do we do now?” Taylor questioned Karlie, who only shrugged in answer.

“Do we ever do anything other than bake?” Taylor laughed as she mixed the batter.

“Well, Brangelina have their adopting thing,” Karlie stalked over to Taylor. “Bonnie and Clyde have their robbing thing,” she leaned next to her on the marble counter. “Maybe this is our thing.”

Taylor smiled as she put the bowl aside. “Sure, why not?”

“The oven takes so long to preheaaaaat,” Karlie whined as she moved over to the oven and glared at it. “You better hurry up, or I’ll unplug you or something. You hear?” She threatened.

As if on time, the tiny red bulb went off, telling them it was preheated. “Hey, what’d you know? It actually listens.” Karlie smirked as she looked into the oven.

Taylor smiled as she set the mixer on low, checking on it every now and then to make sure the batter was perfect. “Quite the little perfectionist, are you, Swift?”

“Well, I mean they are for the guests that are..” Taylor trailed off as she stopped the mixer, scooped up a dollop and tasted it. “Not bad, but lacks a little bit of..” Taylor looked around, spatula in hand. “Cinnamon?” Karlie asked as she held up a bottle of powdered cinnamon.

Taylor skipped over and took the bottle of cinnamon from the taller blonde’s hand. “Thanks.” She beamed as she pinched Karlie’s cheek.

“Guests, huh?” Karlie questioned Taylor with a hint of jealousy in her voice.

“Aww. Don’t worry, Karlie, I’ve got a whole batch of cookies just for you.” Taylor smiled as she took a pan of cookies from out of nowhere.

Karlie acted nonchalant before taking the cookie in her mouth and swung Taylor over her shoulder. “I’m bored. Let’s go do something else." She spoke, cookie bits flying everywhere as Taylor's laughter filled the air.
