*The time where Nobara met the second years for the first time*

*Rina pov*

Today, Fushigurou, Nobara and me are training with the second years. I'm kinda excited to meet them again. Especially him. I chuckled slightly.

"What are they like?" Nobara asked me. "You will meet them anyway. At that time you can judge it yourself on  their personalities". Megumi said with a disinterested face.

I laughed. "Fushiguro is right!" I said. Nobara 'tch stingy' at me and then shut her mouth. We wait and they arrived after 5 minute.

"Yo! What the hell, your face is more depressing than ever. Is this a wake Megumi? Rina?" Maki senpai broke the silent. "Maki, maki! Someone died! Yesterday! A boy in first year" Panda tried to explain, he half-whisper but we can still hear it clearly.

"Salmon!" Inumaki senpai added. "Huh? Idiot Panda! Why didn't you tell me earlier! Now I sounded like a cold heartless devil!" Maki punch Panda's head.

"Well you are one tho..." Panda senpai whined. I smile slightly at their behavior. Honestly seeing them like this makes me feel better. But I'm not the one who need to feel better. I look at Fushiguro and Nobara's face.

I hope they'll not blame themselves so much... "Mustard" a familiar hand pat my head. I smile. He's always makes me feel grateful. It's like him being here is all I need. Wait I sound like a girl in love.

What? I blush unknowingly. Come on focus! You don't have time for this! Although he is..."Rina?" Nobara asked. "What are you thinking?". She added. I shook my head and grin signaling that I wasn't thinking of anything special.

"By the way, who are those guys?" Nobara asked. "They're the second years." Megumi replied. "Zenin Maki senpai, she's the best at handling charms out of us students. Inumaki senpai, he is a curse spell user so he limit his vocabulary to onigiri ingredients. And that's.... Panda senpai". Megumi explained to Nobara.

"Are you seriously not gonna explain any further about the panda..?" She asked, unsatisfied with Megumi's explanation. "There's also Okkotsu Yuta senpai,a third year but he's overseas right now. He's the only one who I can openly respect".

So he chose to ignore Nobara's question about Panda senpai, huh? I tried to hold my laughter. Panda walked to the three of us.

"Sorry guys, you guys are still mourning. But we need the 3 of you to join the Kyoto Sister School Exchange." Panda said. "A school exchange?" Panda nodded.

"It's a joint program with sister school every year. But the program are usually for 2nd and 3rd years, right?" Megumi asked Maki. "Those 3rd years idiots get suspended. So we don't have enough people, that's why you guys have to go".

"So what do we do in the program?" I asked. "Every year the program last for two days, making a group match for the first day and individual match for the second day".

"That's mean we're going to fight other sorcerers then? " Nobara asked, half-shouted. Maki grin and say " Yeah, it's a sorcery battle that anything goes, except for killing each other".

Her face is quite terrifying right now. "So will you join? Your comrade just die, right?" Maki asked. Of course "I'll join", the 3 of us first year said simultaneously.

"Then get ready, we're gonna train you guys half to death" Panda smile. A school exchange, sorcery battle? Just nice. I'll took this chance to be stronger!

After talking some small details, we move to the field to do some sparring. Fushiguro with Maki, Panda with Nobara and me with Inumaki. "Mustard?" He asked.

"I'm okay!" I smile. "Salted salmon roe?". "I'm not good yet in combat but I can still fight. I hope Inumaki senpai will teach me some stuff!" He nodded his head.

After I get into a stance, he quickly dash towards me and tried to kick my head. Luckily I blocked it with my right hand.  I grin and throw a punch from my left hand. As expected,he dodge it.

But that's a bluff, my real punch is from my right hand, from below. I managed to land a hit at his jaw but it's shallow as he quickly react to it.

He then keep his distance. "Bonito flakes? Seaweed?". He said that it was pretty good and asked if I'm really bad at combat. I laugh. Gosh that's embarrassing.

"I love watching action movies, that's why I know some moves". "Salmon..". "Seaweed!". Then he charged towards me to throw a punch but it's a fluke.

His real attack is the kick from his left leg. It's easy to notice, but I was a bit late to react. It send me flying 5 meter backwards.

"Wah Inumaki senpai, you're good at this!". I then charged forward and he did an X to go on defense. But yeh it's a bluff. I rush towards his back and manage to kick him.

I only managed to make him move only 3 meter backwards. Guess it's true I lack power. "Agility good. Keep it". He said.

I smile and nodded. "Seaweed, katsuobushi flakes?". "Use cursed energy? Sure I can use it now." I replied. "Tuna mayo!". He gesture for us to use curses energy to spar.

I agree as I need to normalize myself fighting with curse technique. "Then, can I go on range?" I asked. "Salmon roe. Bonito flakes. Tuna tuna!".

Uwah if I can't understand him I surely will be having a hard time translating those. But I get that Bonito flakes is for disagree and salmon for agree. Oh yes. He said that since I lack experience in fighting close combat, he won't let me be on range yet.

"But why? Won't it still be okay if I'm quick on running away?". I asked. They're eager on getting me be an all rounder. "I want you to be...safe". He said.

Actually we're at quite a distance so his voice is quite loud just now. And it seems that the other 4 heard him. The 4 of them look at us with a shocked face. Especially Maki and Panda.

I smile sheepishly at them. Maki fake cough and then continue to spar. The same with Panda.

After like an hour of training, we take a small break.

"Tuna mayo". He patted the space next to him. I sit down. "Tuna tuna" he pat my head. I laugh at his gesture. "Gosh Inumaki senpai, are you treating me like your little sister or something?" I asked.

Then his hand froze. He shook his head. Eh? What does that mean? "First years, go buy us some juice".  Maki shouted at us.

Hey sorry for the late update 😭.
I don't have internet connection for some time yesterday. Forgive me.

So about the action scene, I'm not very good at writing them but I hope you get what I'm trying to potray.

And the scene where they're going to buy the drink, it should be on the next day or so, after their second practice session but I just merge it with the day they met the second years for the first time. I hope you don't mind since there's none of their scene after they met.

Or should I write about Yuji's pov where he's training? I'm not planning on writing it cause I trust that all of you have at least watch the anime 😂.

Oh and I'm not sure what's Maki is trying to say when she said 'Is this a wake?'. I don't get it but oh well I just wrote the exact same thing she said in the manga. Of course I changed some part cause it's an Inumaki fanfic 🙈🥺😂.
