"Rei wake up!" The mother yelled "you're going to be late".
"Yeah, yeah one more minute" Rei replied.
Rei had been so excited to go to college, she had barely slept last night. She even forgot to put her alarm on. You see, Rei had always been the type to forget the littlest things. She hated herself for it.
"Rei!, how many times do I have to tell you to get up" her mother yelled once again.
"Ugh!, I was literally about to do that mom" Rei said irritated.
Her mother had shut the door to Rei's bedroom and went on her way to make her sweet daughter's breakfast.
While little miss Rei Maeda was still struggling to move her legs.Rei's Perspective~
I removed the greyish blue cover off my bed to the side and got up whilst rubbing my eyes. I felt shivers as I walked to the bathroom since the window was open and could feel the wind making its way in. I quickly started brushing my teeth and wash my face so I could start planning out my outfit. Ok, I know I should have done it last night but I was busy preparing my bag and suitcase, also deciding what to put in there for my first day of college. OH MY GOD FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE. Eek! I'm so excited!
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, I need to pick an outfit. Hmm, I feel like a black top with a denim jacket would look good. Also with low waisted jeans and some black and white sneakers. Brush my hair real quick and we're finally out my room. Not going to lie I am going to miss the place I spent most of my time watching Netflix and eating chocolate.
I entered the dining room that was right next to my room. My house was pretty small but cosy at the same time.
"Rei here eat, I made your favourite tamagoyaki omelette" my mother said "and for you dear, I made omurice"
"Thank you Hanae" my dad replied trying to hide his smile. He did not want to admit that he was overly excited.
My mom barely made tamagoyaki omelette but since it was my last day living here, she made it for me.
It smelt SO GOOD! This was the best day ever I thought. I mean I got into my dream college and my mom made me this DELICIOUS breakfast.
I finished my omelette and looked over to my parents. They looked sad. Was it because I was leaving?
I asked them what was wrong and they just started tearing up. "My daughter has grown up!" My mother cried.
"Mom! It's okay I'll visit once in while" I reassured them. I tried really hard not to laugh.
"We know" My dad said wiping his tears.
Wow I really thought something tragic happened. I should have known. My parents are very emotional, especially my mom. My face went red from trying not to laugh!
I took my plate, washed it with some blue dish soap and sponge, then put it on the plate drying rack. We didn't have a dish washer so we always hand washed our plates and utensils.
I took my bag and walked towards my suitcase that was by the front door. My parents followed saying good bye.
"Be careful" my parents said at the same time.
"I will" I said and waved goodbye, whilst opening the door.
I looked at my parents one more time, they nodded while smiling. I closed the door and...
I was out.
