We just had another class. Guess what? The teacher had the same reaction to my terrifying name. Like literally what's wrong with it? At least it was now time to rest. My next lesson is is an hour so I've got plenty of time to figure things out with Mirko and Bella.
"So it has been 2 teachers that acted like this correct?" Mirko reassured.
"Yup"
"Miss Mandela and Mr Detroit" Mirko spoke.
"Yup"
"Weird" Mirko said
"It's either those 2 particular teachers hate me or there is a deeper meaning behind my name" I said
"I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with your name" he said
"Are you sure?"
"Mhm, 100% sure"
"Okay then, is it because of my last name being the same name as this college?" I asked as if Mirko would know
"I hope not" he answered
"Me too"
"Bella what do you think is the reason to why-" Mirko paused
Bella was staring at her phone smiling. Was she not paying attention to anything we were saying?
"Bella, are you listening?" I questioned
"Yeah" she said
"Mirko got eaten by a shark" I stated
"Yeah"
"I knew you weren't listening!" I hit her with my pillow.
"Ouch!"
"I didn't even hit you that hard!"
I found that very offensive. What could possibly be more important than her friends!? Mirko took a peek on what she was looking at.
"Aiden?" Mirko said annoyed. "Seriously"
"Why are you acting like I ate a spoonful of mustard?" Bella spoke annoyed.
"First of all mustard isn't even that bad" I said
"It's spicy!"
"No it's not!" Mirko and I both said at the same time.
"Do you think black pepper is spicy too or something?" Mirko questioned
"N-no"
"Then listen to what we're saying!"
"Ugh, fine!"
We had been discussing for about 5 minutes before we started searching about the college online and about the teachers.
We found absolutely nothing. We guessed if there were rumours spreading around about me. Then we started asking other students. They were as clueless as us. The mean girl just ignored us but she probably wouldn't have known anyway.
Her name is Katrina. I kinda felt bad for her. She is alone most of the time. She used to have so many friends and was the most popular person in high school. All her old friends went to different colleges. She still looks the same but her eyes look dead. She's not happy anymore. I'll think about trying to make friends with her! But first we have to solve my problem.
I brought my luck necklace that my mom made me when I turned 10. Just in case I could find any clues, hints literally ANYTHING. It had a butterfly charm on it. My mom had always liked butterflies and they used to come in our backyard in Japan.
People said that there was no such thing as 'luck necklaces' but I didn't let that get to me because anything is possible. Except for walking down unlucky street.
I tried looking at some of the posters on the walls and I found something!
It was chewed gum. I think it was strawberry flavoured assuming from the pink reddish colour.
Ew why do I keep looking at it.
"Why are you looking at that piece of gum?" Mirko asked. "Was it yo-"
"NO" I stated.
