It was a little past midnight when she left the house. The walk to the park isn't too long and she makes it to her spot around the same time she usually does.

Like always, the only sources of light are the moon and the street lamps. The artficial lights flicker sometimes as she sits on the park bench she had claimed as her own for the past weeks.

It's cold outside but not enough that she would freeze if she stays out any longer. She isn't dumb to stay if the temperature drops. She hasn't tried to nor does she ever plan on doing so. It is nearing winter so these nightly trips would have to come to a stop soon. She doesn't want it to. How else would she spend the rest of her sleepless nights? How else is she supposed to escape?

She checks the time on her phone before shoving the device back into her pocket. 12:14.

He's not here yet.

Along the first week coming here -- which had been maybe a month ago -- there was this boy, maybe around her age, who shows up. He would arrive a minute after her, walk past and mutter a quick greeting before moving on to the other park bench a few feet away.

He and her... they never really speak to each other, just exchange hello's as they arrive or muttering a farewell before one leaves. Acquaintances, you can say they are, but they know nothing of the other, not even their names.

A minute or two pass by and finally he arrives.

"Annyeong," he mutters. She greets him back, thinking whether she should say anything else. She doesn't.

She pulls out her phone and earphones. She had been about to put them on when he startles her. He sits next to her and she looks up at him.

"Can I listen?" he asks.

She blinks. "What?" What is he doing?

He gestures to the phone in her hand. "I did not bring mine," he says. "Can I listen with you?"

"Oh. Uh, sure," she utters with a nod. She lends him an earphone bud and puts the other in her ear. "Is any song alright?" she asks as she scrolls through her playlist.

She sees him nod and she chooses a random song.

It is quiet, the only sound is the music playing and the buzzing of the old street lamps. She isn't used to sitting next to him and, while he doesn't seem to mind, she feels rather awkward.

The song comes to an end and the next one plays soon after.

It's only a few seconds into the song and she hears him chuckle slightly.

"You like Got7?" he asks, sounding a bit amused.

The question catches her off guard but she quickly recovers to answer it.

"Not so much, but I really like this song," she says with a shrug. "Why? Do you like Got7?"

He responds by singing along to the song. His voice, she realizes, blends well with the song. It is as if he knows the song by heart. That fact alone makes her heart flutter in her chest.

달빛 (or its English title, Moonlight) had always been one of her favorite songs ever since she first heard it. She isn't a huge fan of the group, but she likes some of their music. She wasn't the kind of fan who woulc recognize the boys of the group as she barely even knew the names of the members.
