Chapter 2: Decision

(Morgan P.O.V.) Aquoris Castle, Morgan's room

The rest of the day went by quickly and uneventful, Minato and his friends will be sleeping in the castle for the night and to try to contain some of my excitement, I'm reading one of father's strategy books while sitting on my desk when I hear a knock on the door, so I get up and rush to open the door to see Minato standing there.

Morgan: Oh, hey Minato, what's up?

Minato: Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?

Morgan: Sure, come in.

I go inside my room again sitting on my bed patting to my side so he can sit with me, but instead he grabs a chair and sits facing me.

Morgan: So, what do you want to talk about? Made your choice already? Did you?

Minato: Calm down, not yet. That's what I want to talk about with you.

Morgan: Oh sorry, I'm just so excited I can barely contain myself.

Minato: Yeah, I noticed... Anyway I wanted to ask if you're sure about all this.

Morgan: What do you mean?

I tilt my head to the side confused about what he said waiting for an answer.

Minato: Are you really sure you're gonna travel around with three guys you barely met earlier? How are you sure you can trust us?

Morgan: Well, I know a good tactician shouldn't make decisions based on gut feeling alone but I'm pretty sure I can trust you. Besides, you saved me earlier without knowing who I was or asked for a reward.

Minato: Yeah...

Morgan: Now that there's one in game you have some motivation, also knowing that I'm a princess you can expect a big one none the less.

Minato: *sigh* you're right

Morgan: What will it be then?

I smile brightly while I get closer to his face and taking his hand with both of mine.

Minato: I-I'll check with Key and Josuke a-and if we reach an agreement I'll tell. N-now, d-do you mind backing up a little?

Morgan: Oh sure, but are you ok? You stuttered a bit and you're face is getting red. Did you catch a fever?

I out my hand on his forehead but, strangely, it isn't hot and he awkwardly takes my hand of his forehead and quickly goes to the door.

Minato: Y-Yeah, I'm fine, I'll go check with them, later!

He left my room closing the door behind him leaving me behind wondering what's wrong with him, but I quickly shrug it of and go back to reading.

It is 23:30 as I stand in front of the guest room where Minato and his friends will be staying as I decided to check on them before going to sleep when I hear talking inside the room so I put my ear against the door to listen to them.

Josuke: So you're taking the job?

Minato: That's it.

Kei: Already fell for Mor- OUCH, what was that for?!

Minato: S-Shut up you Idiot, of course not! I-It's just that we'll be able to fetch some good coin for this, I'm not doing it for her or anything like that

Josuke: Reaaly? And you're really just doing it for the cash?

Minato: And we will be able to work towards you-know-what.
