I woke up the next morning feeling giddy and dreamy and well rested. I checked the
time and it was already past 12 noon. At the last minute, I had decided against
pulling Desmond into the room. I had slept long and I had slept extremely well,
considering there had been a certain bop daddy on my mind when I went to bed. I
got out of bed and decided to do a little skin care and body prep before my sister
would drag me out for the day, or rather, for the night. I put on a moisturizing face
mask and soaked my body in a hot bath. My skincare routine took about an hour or
so and by the time I was done, I definitely knew I was glowing, pride aside. After
that, I looked through what my sister had packed for me, which now that I realized it,
I shouldn't have let her. Everything she packed were my old dresses that I never
wore with Richard around and surprisingly they still fit me perfectly. I picked out a
sexy dress or in my sister's words, 'my ashewo dress', and laid it out on the bed. It
was a black sequin dress with thin straps and a low back. It showed a little cleavage
and I had to admit, it was sexy as hell. I picked out a nude colored PLT heels and
small bag to go with it a laid them next to my dress. I checked my phone and saw a
text from Alex saying we would be out by 8pm. It was just three so I had a little time
before I would do my make up. I decided to call Richard and humor my self. He
didn't pick up but sent me a text instead saying he was in a meeting and he would
call me as soon as he could. I laughed and picked up the remote to watch a little
TV. By 6pm, I decided to start my makeup. I was going to go all out tonight and get
my old self back completely. I was putting finishing touches on my face when I heard
a knock on the door. I put on my shoes, picked up my bag and opened the door to
find my sister and Diane looking absolutely gorgeous. I gave both of them a hug and
we headed downstairs to where Alex said her friends were already waiting for us.
We got to the car and saw her friend waiting for us. I heard Alex ask where the other
guy was and before he could answer, a familiar voice ringed in my ear. I turned
around to see Desmond looking better than last night. He was wearing a blue jean, a
button down black shirt and he smelt amazing. He cleared his throat and I flushed,
realizing everyone had noticed me staring. He took my hands and said
"i didn't think you could get any more beautiful, but boy do I stand corrected" "you two know each other?" this was coming from Alex with a raised eyebrow
I answered her "we kinda met last night when I came down to get a drink"
"up your alley as in?" Desmond asked
"stuck up and uptight" I said laughing. I heard a giggle from Diane before she said "you guys go on, I'm waiting on someone".
"well that makes this a whole less awkward but anyway, Steph, this is Des, the guy
