"Me." Sehun said as he came up behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder. And in that brief moment, I felt it. Those sparks. Those tiny sparks, the tingle in my veins. All those feelings I had only read about in books before. Things I never felt around Kris, no matter how happy I was.
"You?" Kris's deep voice broke my trance.
"Yes," Sehun replied.
"Stop playing with her!" Kris shouted as he stood up, "You think hearts are things to be toyed with?"
"I'm not toying with her!" Sehun shouted back.
"Is that so?" Kris replied, "Is that why you're still hanging around YunJi?"
"YunJi means nothing to me. Don't talk as if you know everything going on," Sehun replied hotly. His eyes were on fire and he kept clenching and unclenching his fingers repeatedly.
"Didn't seem like that to me," Kris replied curtly, "Don't come here looking for her when you can offer her nothing but pain." Having said that, Kris grabbed my by the wrist and lead me out of the cafeteria while Luhan and Lay simply stared dumbfounded.
"What's with him?" Lay asked.
~~~
We were standing on the rooftop of the SM building. Just the two of us.
"I'm sorry," Kris said, sighing heavily.
"No, it's alright," I said as I ran a finger over my wrist where he had held me so tightly.
"Does it hurt?" Kris asked.
"No," I lied. It hurt a lot. But something inside me hurt way more.
"I'm sorry. I guess it's sprained, let me see," Kris said as he took my arm. I felt my heart beat faster...but I didn't feel those butterflies...
I don't know why but at that moment, I didn't want to be around him anymore. I needed to figure out all these things I felt. I was so confused, so messed up. I pulled my hand back and said, "I'm so sorry, Kris. But I have to go."
And I ran away, like a coward. I heard him calling after me but I didn't look back. I ran all the way down the stairs and my feet took my straight where I would never admit I wanted to be - to where Sehun was.
I could hear his voice, he was standing just around the corner. I was about to call for him but as I came closer, I heard a girl's voice as well and managed just in time to hide behind a wall.
"You better stay away from her," YunJi's voice said.
"She means nothing, okay?" Sehun said. I knew they were talking about me. And somehow, it felt so bad though I had no right to feel sad. It's not like I liked him or was his girlfriend.
"It doesn't look like that," YunJi spat, "Listen, Sehun-ah. I really, really like you. That's why I would never expose your...secret to anyone. But if you keep cheating on me like that, I might spill it to someone by mistake, get it?"
"Yes," Sehun replied tightly. I coudl imagine his lips pressing in a straight line as said them.
"Now, be a good guy and don't chase after useless girls," YunJi said.
"Minah isn't useless!" Sehun yelled. "She's worth a thousand of you. Just because you know something doesn't give you the right to keep blackmailing me like this."
"We'll see about that," YunJi said as she spun around and walked off, leaving Sehun hanging. I was on my knees, trying to digest what I had just heard. Secret? So there WAS something suspicious between them! Hah! I always knew it!
