Chapter 10 : The Debut

The lights shone right into my eyes. The crowd was shouting their heads off. Four guys were dancing around me. As their cue ended, they split, revealing me. The audience went berserk.

They clapped, they hollered, they cheered. It was Trinity Flames' debut stage.

Flipping my hair, I stepped forward. Keep it cool, Minah. I hadn't slept all night and had had nothing to eat. I was too scared that the fierce dancing might make me throw up on stage. Now I wish I had eaten something.

EXO slowly moved to the back of the stage and the three of us stepped forward. Sehun's eyes briefly caught me. He smiled. Encouragingly. Or was that just my imagination?

The music began and we started to sing :-

I put my soul and heart into the song. It was easy, because it was exactly what I felt. I just needed another chance, so that we could try together again...

I wake up to an empty bed beside me,

The dance routine ended in us forming a star formation with EXO. Everyone was on their feet, cheering for us. I saw Hanna and my Mom clapping loudly. Mom had tears in her eyes. Dad hadn't come.

I glanced quickly at Sehun. Our eyes met for a second and he looked...sad? I was almost in tears by the time the song ended. It just felt...written for me.
