"A practice match against Karasuno? I don't remember the coach telling us that!?"
My thoughts were then interrupted when someone had tugged on my shirt.
"Oh uh, yes Yuki?""Coach said we can go and that the meeting is over."
"Oh thank you."
I then head out of the gym to get changed into my uniform. A match against Karasuno. I've heard of them as the flightless crows, but who knows that might've changed due to the fact of the newbies. I finished getting changing and headed to class. I don't know why but I have a weird sensation that something is going to happen. The day went by like the usual. Focusing on class and learning, eating lunch with my brother and his friend, Iwaizumi. And finishing the day with managing a volleyball team.
Tooru, Iwaizumi, and I were walking home when Tooru said,
"He's gonna be there, and I'll beat him fair and square."
I wonder what that was all about. Who is he? Do I know this he?
Those questions were wondering through my head the whole walk home.
"Bye Iwa-Chan."
Tooru said in the cocky voice of his. Looking at Iwaizumi you can tell he didn't like that one bit."Bye Iwa."
"Bye y/n. Don't let your brother do anything stupid before the practice match."
"Yes sir!"
It had been a while full of silence before Tooru spoke up.
"Y/n first one to the park has to buy the other person milk bread."
"Oh, it's on."
Right when he said that I went on a full sprint towards the park. Running as if no one in the world can stop me. As sprinting I could see Tooru trying to catch up, but no way I'd let him catch up. Sprinting as if my life depended on it I made it before him. I can see Tooru slowly catching up to see him out of breath as well. Staying still for a while to catch his breath and looks at me. I was confused as heck but my thoughts were interrupted when Tooru started talking.
"Hey that's not fair you got a head start."
He's lying just so I can buy him milk break. What a loser.
"Um no you lost, I won that wasn't part of the deal."
Clearly seeing Tooru upset. He tried to push me playfully, missing because I dodge it.
"You're too slo...."
I stopped to see that Tooru tripped and end up falling badly. He'd usually just gets up and acts like nothing happened, but he's staying on the floor. Me getting scared rushed to him to see what's wrong.
"Are-are you ok? Tooru talk to me."
"My- my leg. It hurts. It hurts to move it. Y/n help me."
I don't know what to do. First thing that comes to mind is calling mom. I call her and tell her what happened. She comes to pick us up and takes Tooru to the doctor. I had to wait in the car due to it being to full. This is my fault. He wouldn't have gotten hurt if I just let him push me. I came back into reality when I can physically see Tooru and mom coming back. He's walking kind of normally, but doesn't look happy.
"What happened? What did the doctor say?"
Tooru stayed silent.
"He hurt his knee. They said something about a sprain and that he can't play for a few days.
I can feel how disappointed Tooru feels. It's quiet all the way home from the doctors. When we arrived home Tooru was the first in and locked himself in his room. This could be the worse thing to ever happen.
Especially with the practice match coming up, could this be a setback for him?
