Beatrix's Mother

    "Bee, is that you?" asked a familiar voice that came from the left side of Beatrix's cell..

    "Mother?" asked Beatrix.

    "What are you doing here, my dear Bee?" asked Beatrix's mother.

    "I wanted to free you," answered Beatrix.

    "That's foolish of you, Bee. It is a brave thing to do but you must stay safe."

    "I'm sorry, mother."

    "Don't worry. You were only trying to help."

    Then they heard Catherine's voice, "I apologize for interrupting your reunion.

    Beatrix and her mother turned to Catherine and Beatrix exclaimed, "Catherine!"

    "Hello, Beatrix."

    "Bee, who is this?"

    "This is Catherine, mother. I met her outside the prison."

    "I told you not to trust anyone easily."

    "She's here to free her mother too."

    "No, that was a lie," Catherine said. "Sorry Beatrix"

    "Why?"

    "I only wanted to know why you're here. My father runs this prison. While we sneaked here, I made the guard aware of our presence." 

    "If so, why didn't you turn me in when we were at the entrance?"

    "I wanted to know who your mother was," said Catherine in an amused tone.

    "I told you, Bee, that you can't trust everyone," said Beatrix's mother in a slightly scolding voice.

    "I know, I'm sorry."

    "Goodbye!" exclaimed Catherine, waving her hand at them.

    Beatrix looked hopelessly at Catherine leaving the cells, it seemed as if there was no way to escape.
