Setsuna sat in the empty apartment, gathering laundry. She hummed quietly and took the basket into the laundry room and tossed it in, throwing in some tide pods and a little extra powder detergent and fabric softener. After turning it on she pulled out her phone, she couldn't do class 1-As hero training until Hawks was off, and since he told the agency he'd be doing this with her they'd been lenient with his hours. They'd even offered to let her shadow him while they waited for her to take the license exam. Setsuna had declined saying that she would already be envied when she went pro earlier than most people, all because of Hawks seeing her potential, they would think he was favoring her, and she was giving him things in return for special treatment. She sent Hawks a message:

Songbird 🎶: you almost done today? I'd like to prepare a training plan because we went in blind last time and we had to stop a meltdown.

She turned off her phone and went into her bedroom, UA had provided them with a nice little apartment. They added a new floor to the teachers dorms and created a studio apartment for her and Hawks. He wouldn't let her stay there alone, she wouldn't sleep. Setsuna grabbed some clean jeans and a crop top, preparing for a shower. As she exited she tossed her phone on her bed, not seeing the message that appeared:

Pretty bird💕: I'm coming home now, I finished early because of you. Be ready.

As the water ran down her back Setsuna breathed a heavy sigh. She wished her stress could be washed away with water. She almost didn't hear the door slam closed and the stomping through the house. When the bathroom door opened she poked her head around the curtain "hey Keig-" she froze, he was throwing his clothes off, and when he looked at her his whole face was red. "What season is it again?" She asked. "Spring" he growled "and you played with a feather" she began blushing as he finished discarding his clothes, thinking back 'when did I mess with a feather?' she thought. Then she remembered seeing something red in the laundry basket "shit" she said. She finally noticed him stalking towards her, cheeks a cherry red, body covered in a layer of sweat, his eyes clouded with lust. She backed up against the wall and he slammed his arms on each side of her head and leaned toward her. She trembled at the sight of him, spring comes around every year, how could she make this mistake? After years of training beside him, living with him, she never once forgot springtime, and ALWAYS checked for feathers in the clothes year round. "I made a rookie mistake, Keigo please" he smirked and touched his nose to hers "too late" he leaned down farther and bit her neck, causing a moan to escape her lips "sing for me lovebird" he growled, and she tried to make a joke to distract him, knowing the washer was still going, "I thought I was songbird" she sighed, trembling, as he sucked on her skin. Setsuna watched as he let go and brushed his lips against her skin, up her neck and latched his teeth onto her ear before whispering huskily "you know the rules, until you sing you're not my songbird" he then kissed her hungrily and lifted her up, pressing her against the shower wall, water running down their bodies. Setsuna wrapped her legs around his waist, tangled her fingers into his now wet hair, and kissed him with as much urgency as he did her.

This wasn't a normal thing. Hawks and Setsuna weren't dating. They were just humans, with needs. Sometimes one of them would get a little too needy, and the other would satisfy them. They had thought about dating, there were pros, they worked well together, when they were in a professional setting they were strictly professional, they satisfied each other. But there were cons too, he was basically sponsoring Setsuna, they would assume because he was dating her he gave her special treatment, he was also a pro hero, it could cause a scandal. The agency assured them a few times they could put the rumors to rest, they saw good in Keigo and Setsuna being in a relationship, Hawks was always on time, fed, had enough sleep, he was always in a good mood, cooperative, he finished all his work in a timely manner, and it was all because of her. But little did anyone know, this rookie mistake Setsuna made was going to change their thoughts on a relationship pretty quickly.
