"Y/N~" the playful bard purred as he rested his head on your lap. He snuggled into your stomach as you sat below the tree, leaning back on the trunk.
"Hmm?" You hummed, stroking his soft black hair making him feel giddy. If only you knew how much he craves for your touch.
He glanced at you with his innocent eyes, "Sing a song for me, pleaseee?"
You awkwardly scratched your cheek, "But I don't–"
"Puh-leaaaase~?"
You sighed in defeat, "Alright, alright."
He grinned excitedly. His aqua blue orbs formed into crescent moon shapes, "Ehe~"
You went silent for a moment, thinking of a song when you remembered the one you heard from the city. The warm and gentle wind blew when you closed your eyes, preparing to sing.
"But when he loves me~
I feel like I'm floating~
When he calls me pretty~
I feel like somebody~
Even when we fade eventually to nothing~
You will always be my favorite form of loving~" you sung sweetly but shivered when the wind suddenly turned cold and harsh.
You opened your eyes and instead of seeing a happy expression on Venti's face, he stared at you blankly.
"V-Venti? Is something wrong?"
Was your voice that bad?
"Who is he?" He asked coldly.
You eyed him in confusion, "What do you me–"
You stopped when he carefully sat straight, moving closer to you until your faces were only inches apart. You could feel your heart beating rapidly as he caressed your left cheek, making sure that you'd only focus on him.
"The song... who's he?" He slightly tilted his head, "Tell me. Who are you talking about in the song?"
You gulped, "But it's just a song–"
"Then what's with your expression?"
"Huh?"
He gazed into your eyes, piercing though your soul, "The way you sung that song with a loving expression... like you're thinking of somebody while singing. Who is he?"
You held his hand on your cheek in an attempt to remove it but he wouldn't budge.
"I told you. It's just a song–"
You froze when he gently touched your lips with his thumb. He looked at you with drooping eyes, an expression desiring for something etched on his face, "What should I do with you, y/n?"
That's when you became certain that something's wrong with him.
Your breathing hitched when his arm sensually snaked around your waist, pulling you closer to him.
"Are you sure it's just a song?" He whispered in your ear, sending chills down your spine.
