"So are you sure he's okay with this?" I ask Lexi for the twentieth time this afternoon.

"Yes, Skye, I'm sure," she says, voice laced with amusement, rolling her eyes.

This evening was my first trial shift at Cargo and nervous was an understatement. Firstly, because Harry was my boss. The same Harry that I punched in the face and that called me a bitch. But beggars can't be choosers so I was going to have to suck it up. Secondly, the only information I was given was to wear all black and arrive at 6:00pm which was not great because I have no idea what I'm going to be asked to do: waitressing, bar tending, cleaning... I just wish I was given a few more details.

Shaking my head from my erratic thoughts I pull on my docks and grab my bag from the side.

Lexi's shift at 'Ready or Not' started at eight so she was dropping me off on the way so she could get there early and train and then collecting me after her shift which ended at the same time as mine so at least I didn't have to worry about getting the subway on my own in the dark. Sometimes being a woman really sucks.

"Come on, let's go," she speaks from behind the curtain.

"Coming," I reply, walking towards the door to Leo's room.

I knock twice before pushing down the door handle. I'm met with the sight of Leo sitting on his bed surrounded by school work.

"Hey, bubs, I'm off okay, my shift ends at 01:00am so don't wait up, please get some sleep for school yeah?" I say, walking into the room and sitting on the edge of his bed.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, be safe Skye," he replies casually.

"Of course," I say, leaning in to kiss his forehead before standing up and making my way back out to Lexi, "bye!"

Lexi and I walk down the steps to her car and both get in. The whole ride is pretty much silent except for the low hum of the radio. I know Lexi can tell when I'm nervous and she knows I just need my personal space which I really appreciate. Soon we arrive outside the club's door.

"Thanks Lex, I'll see you at like twenty past one," I say as I open the car door.

"Okay Skye, please call me at anytime for anything," she says seriously.

I roll my eyes at her overprotective nature but smile appreciatively non the less, "of course Lex," I reply.

She furrows her eyebrows, "I'm serious Skye, I know you hate people worrying about you but this is important okay, call me for anything,"

I lean back into the car and kiss her cheek, "I promise babe,"

She smiles, clearly happy with the reassurance and I slam the door behind me, walking towards the building's door.

I walk through the threshold and am met with a very different sight to the last time I was here. The dance floor is completely deserted, the bar is empty and the smell is more like bleach than the previous alcohol/ weed mix.

"Hello," I speak out, hoping to catch the attention of someone I can't see,"

I walk further into the club, still looking around in all directions for any signs of life.

Just as I begin to pull my phone out and text Niall a petite, dark haired girl comes rushing out holding an apron in one hand and a tray in the other.

"Hey, Skye right?" She says smiling widely.

"Ugh, yeah, that's me," I reply, slightly flustered from her sudden entry.
