The other end of the conversation had gone quiet.

"What do you mean?"

"They found him in the arctic. That...that damn serum some how let him survive. I don't know how to explain it."

"Have you talked to him, at all?"

"I have. We just haven't had much time. Some maniac's trying to invade the planet, and kidnapped some SHIELD agents."

"Is there anything I can do?"

"I don't know. Just....be wary. Get the family and go somewhere. Hell, go to Alaska. Anywhere's safer than the mainland, right now."

"I'll do what I can."

"Yeah."

The silence grew once more. Neither woman was sure of what to say.

"Miss Rogers, you're needed in the lab."

Alex sighed, really not wanting to.

"I have to go. I'm getting called back."

"Thanks for the heads up, I guess."

"You're welcome. Call me when you're in a safe spot."

Alex hung up, and rushed back to the lab. When she got there, she was greeted by the sight of Steve and Tony squaring up. Banner was by the scepter, and Romanoff and Fury were near the door. Neither person noticed she had entered the room.

"The only you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay on the wire and let the other guy crawl over you." Steve grumped.

"I think I would just cut the wire." Tony retorted.

Steve snorted.

"Always the easy way for you isn't it? You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero."

"A hero? Like you? You're a laboratory experiment Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle."

"ENOUGH!" Alex bellowed.

She walked further into the room, eyes cold and jaw clenched.

"If I ever hear you two talk to each other like that again, I will shove my foot up both of your asses. I will make Fury look like a sunday school teacher. Do I make myself clear?"

Both men looked like they had been caught with their hand in the proverbial cookie jar.

"There are more important things going on that your stupid little pissing match. As of right now, neither of you is up to par. You're both a pair of idiots who have been hyped to great proprtions, when neither of you needed it. You especially, Stark. Don't even think about saying your two cents."

Alex looked at her brother, dissapointed in his attitude.

"I get that you're dissapointed that Tony isn't like Howard, Steve. I do. But you need to get over it. I had to, and I'll be damned if I let --"

Alex was interrupted as more people filled the room. Whatever else Alex had to say, was thrown out of the proverbial window. They argued over each other. Barely starting one argument, before getting pulled into a different one. Alex couldn't even get a word in edge wise. Every time she opened her mouth to try and stop the yelling, someone would talk over her. It didn't take long for her to 'blow her top,' in a way.

A short, and sharp whistle filled the room. Causing the others to wince at the frequency that hit their ears.

"I can't believe this. The whole planet's in danger of being screwed over, yet you're arguing like a bunch a whiny little shits over the last piece of cake! You have the best techonology at your hands to find anything on the planet! You could be using it to keep track of the missing S.H.I.E.L.D. agents! Remember them? Yeah. They could be on their way to the helicarrier to get Loki right, now!"

"Alex -"

"No, Steve. This ends here and now. We were brought together to find Loki, and get the cube. Which we still haven't done! We're supposed to be a team, and yet we're arguing like a bunch of toddlers!"

"ALEXANDRA!" Tony shouted.

"What!?"

"Put the scepter down."
