It was known that Louis was a very powerful warlock. It is true that he has a lot of power, but it was really his intelligence–emotional and intelectual–that really make him pop from the rest. His decision making, his caracter. But, he was quite young, and for people–especially witches and warlocks–young means inexperienced. Although that might be a little tiny bit true (depending on the person), that didn't mean the young warlock couldn't keep his coven safe. But–unfortunately–his coven didn't see him or even considered him as High Priest.

It was later on, when the boy turned 18, when he was finally taken seriously. Strange marks appeared across his right arm. There were ancient Dragon runes spelling out his name, along with an even stranger mark. He wasn't taught any of that, so he obviously panicked the first time he got them.

It was a terrible night—week, even. The moon was full and bright, making the witches stronger, but Louis, he was sick. Very, extremely sick. He couldn't move, everything hurt, he could barely speak, and the worst of all, he couldn't use his powers. They were nowhere to be seen. When he tried using his powers to fetch himself some water from the other side of the room, the only thing that moved was the tree outside his window because of the wind.

He was in that condition for a week, everyone thought he was going to die. They tried everything, potions, spells, praying to the Horned God. It wasn't until the 24th of december, his birthday, when he got the ancient markings on his arm and all his suffering and pain just disappeared. Like as if his pain was released. It was all very confusing to the young boy, and to everyone around him. His bestfriend, Zayn, was probably the most scared out of everyone. The thought of losing his brother (from another mother) caused so much distress.

The High Priestess, Agatha, knew exactly what was happening to the poor blue-eyed boy, and yet, she said nothing. The truth is, she was scared. She didn't know how to react–she had never experienced this–so she did nothing. Later on, she apologized and told the coven what it meant. Louis has the witch's mark. It's a mark that not many magical beings get. Each coven has had at least one marked witch in their timeline, every 300 years, a new marked witch appears. Louis, just so happened to be one of those marked witches.

It had turned out that Louis was sick because his body was testing him to make sure he could hold the power of the markings. It was all so new and confusing. There's a legend that the first coven was given the markings by the two primary deities. They called them the Witch Thirteen. They all seperated and created their own different covens. The markings ran through the blood of the witches so they could be passed on through generations. It was also said that one marking had died, there was no one to inherit it.

There are 13 different markings, and they each have different colors: green, grey, red, blue, purple, black, orange, white, brown, yellow, pink, blue marine, golden, and silver. Golden and Silver represent Soul and Bond, originally the two witches were twin sisters. Blue marine is unknown, the marking had died long ago. Pink represented Kindness, the first witch to own the marking was the kindest of them all. Yellow is Fierce, the original witch was the fiercest of them all. Brown's witch was very caring towards animals, it means Fauna. White represented Peace, the witch was peaceful, it was what she wanted and what she seeked for. Orange is Brave. Black is Chaos, opposite to White. Purple is Power, the strongest witch of the coven, the High Priestess. And the Element Witches, red, blue, grey, green; Fire, Water, Air, Earth.

Louis didn't know the color of his marking yet, but he was already so powerful. It wasn't until the age of 19 when the mark first shone the color blue. The coven was at a lake house for a week to relax. The younger witches were partying outside while the children and older witches stayed inside at home. It was a full moon and Louis was bored, knowimg Louis, that wasn't acceptable. No witch should be bored on a full moon. Louis went on to explore the place like the little curious warlock he is, and ended up playing around with magic. He sat by the edge of the lake and just meditated. He took in his surroundings and just felt everything. The cool breeze on his face, the vibration of the ground from running deers, the sound of crickets and other insects, maybe a snake here and there. He took in everything, and he didn't know how he did it, bit it wasn't long before he went into a weird trance, like as if he wasn't there anymore.
