"Oh, Lou... I'm so sorry." Jay told him, tears threatening to escape her eyes. As a mother, her goal in life is to see his children be happy. How was she supposed to do that when Louis was being forced into marrying an old creep who he doesn't know?

"It's fine, mum. Please, I don't want your sympathy." It's true, he doesn't. He hates it, actually. Every goddamn time he steps out of his room, people look at him with sympathic looks on their faces—but he doesn't want that. He wants them to look at him with amazement or respect because he's strong. He's strong that he accepts to give his happiness away for the sake of his coven. Why don't people look at him that way?

"What's going to happen?" Daisy asked, her bottom lip wobbling. "I don't want you to leave."

"You're all coming with me, Daisy." Louis reassured her. "You'll be with me, by my side. Everywhere I go."

"Where are we going, then? What's going to happen?" Fizzy asked. She was 15, so she knew something was up.

"The whole coven's gathering up tonighg. We'll explain how it's going to go."

"God, this bettet be fucking worth it." Lottie spat.

"Lotts..." Louis started, with a tired tone in his voice. He knew she was going to be against this.

"Okay, off we go girls." He heard his mum say, knowing there's was bound to be a lot of cursing and shouting.

"No, Louis. You're gonna be marrying a fucking creep. Everyone's worried, we're being attacked by a coven of vampires." Lottie exclaimed. "This isn't fair to you. You've done so much already, Louis. You're the one who's led the coven to safety multiple times. Yet, you still feel the need to do it again."

"Charlotte, it's either me or someone else."

"It shouldn't always have to be you. It's always you, Louis. Let someone else risk their life for the coven!"

"Oh! You do it, then. You go risk your life, you go marry the creep. Risk your life fighting off vampires, then." Louis shouted. "You, Charlotte, are a hypocrite. You're complaining about no one else fighting for this coven, when you haven't done much either."

"You think I haven't tried?! Because I have! But I never get the chance to, no one lets me. Because I'm 'too young' and 'inexperienced'.'' Lottie argued, repeating what the council.has told her. "They won't teach me shit. Just now, I'm finally able to learn more because of the sessions. To the council's eyes, I'm still a child, and I'm 18." Louis had nothing to say. There was a long pause before she continued talking again, this time her voice was a lot softer. "I just want you to be happy, Louis."

He embraced her in a huge hug with teary eyes. "Lottie, you make me happy. My family and friends will always make me happy."

"Okay," Agatha said once the room became silent and all eyes were on her. "As you all know, we were attacked by some vampires–"

"No shit, Sherlock." Louis muttered to himself and rolled his eyes at her. Just get to the point, he thought.

"–We speculate that there are a lot more from where they came from. Usually a coven has hundreds of vampires—unless it's a new coven, but we would've been aware of that. There's also only one coven of vampires near by, although we had a peace truce, vampires like to keep to themselves. We didn't know–we never knew–what was going on insidr that coven. It had been hundreds of years since our covens communicated. We don't know what happened, but we don't think it'll be the last time they attack. What they want, we don't know. But it's better to be safe then sorry. If our theory is true, we would have to fight against thousands of vampires, and although witches are far more powerful, we are only 58. Half of us being young, inexperienced children. So, we did the only thing we could do, contact the nearest witch coven for an alliance. I won't get into details, you all know what it took to convince them, but I just want to say that this wasn't how it was supposed to go, we didn't have much of a choice.

In 2 weeks, we will all travel to the east, 270km away from here, so basically about 4 hours in car. We will travel by car, so far we've got 22 cars in our possession. That's more then enough to carry all of us, we've even got extra cars to carry our belongings–" The second people heard "all of our belongings" they started murmuring. A few gasps escaped from some of the witches' mouths. What did she mean by that?

"–We will start packing tomorrow. And hopefully, settle into our new home as soon as possible." That's when the murmuring turned into shouting. 'What?!', 'New home?!', confused noise, and some people even let out sobs. Fear. Everyone was scared.

"Remember, we either leave and survive or we stay here and die." Agatha shouted, loud and clear. That shut pretty much everyone. "I don't want this either, but we either join covens or we don't. No in-between. They refused to do otherwise."

"Will there even be enough space for us?" Someone in the crowed asked.

"I don't know what's going to happen when it comes to space, or where we'll be staying specifically. I do know that they are willing to expand their mansion just for us. They also told me that they were probably going to make us share rooms with some of the other witches or maybe–"

"No way, we don't even know them!" was heard, followed by shouts of agreement.

"–or maybe," Agatha repeated, raising her voice and losing patience. "They will make their witches share and make space for us. That's all for today, you may all go to bed." She stepped off from the table and headed to her room, clearly tired. The children were confused, the adults were scared shitlessa and the teenagers were somewhat excited and curious.

And Louis? He was just annoyed.
