"this was such a stupid idea." teagan complained after her and her companion had drove luke's truck around for half an hour trying to find a store, outside of Stars Hollow, that sold two specific items they needed.
"shut up, already." jess groaned from beside her, sick of those same words being repeated every four minutes.
"my legs are dead!" she continued her rant.
before the boy next to her could reply, teagans phone buzzed in her pocket.
she held a finger up to jess, who was about to protest the complaints she had made, as she flipped the phone open.
"hi chris!" teagan greeted.
jess head snapped over to look at the grinning girl as she spoke to 'chris'.
something stirred in his stomach as he watched her giggle at something he had said and his grip tightened on the steering wheel, his knuckles slightly turning white.
"no way, wait? really?" she questioned excitedly into the phone. "i can't wait! okay, bye!" she snapped the phone shut and let out an excited squel
"who's- uh- who's chris?" jess asked, his jaw clenched.
"hm? oh! he's just a friend." a small smile was still on teagans lips as she spoke. "why?"
"just never heard you mention him." he shrugged, his hand still gripping the wheel tightly.
teagan noticed this and furrowed her eyebrows. "you jealous?" she teased, poking his face.
"in your dreams, Tea." he laughed, as he pulled the handbrake and shut off the car. "we're here."
teagan turned her head away from jess, sighing. "this is such a stupid idea."
"oh my god!"

their trip to the store got the two teens lost for 25 minutes, luckily when they arrived back in Stars Hollow, everyone was still preoccupied with the basket event.
"can you hurry up?" teagan rushed the boy. "i need to get back to my school work."
teagan and jess had expertly decided to prank taylor.
again.
their trip to a hardware store was successful and jess had put a large lock around the doors of the Doose's Market, the key of the lock was then put into a puzzle box for taylor to solve.
"done." he backed away from the market and towards a restless looking teagan. "you're boring today."
"let's go, Danes." she grabbed the boy by his jacket, and headed towards the diner.
"hold on hold on." he stopped teagan, putting his hand on the small of her back and guiding her around to face him. "one more thing."
teagan glared at him, keeping her expression the same despite the butterflies swarming in her stomach at his touch.
"please, it'll be fun." jess pulled her in one step closer, giving her puppy dog eyes to sweeten up the idea.
teagans heart started beating a little faster and she squirmed out of his grip. "okay, but don't give me those puppy dog eyes again. it's annoying."
"but it works."
"shut up."
-
teagan and jess had gone back to the diner and grabbed some food, despite the protests from teagan that this was basically like taking part in 'this stupid event'.
